There's a bunch of good twisties up here in the NE corner -- segments mostly along the Mississippi, Turkey, and Upper Iowa rivers. The first 10 miles of US 52 northwest of Dubuque are spectacular. I've seen some prevous reports of individuals enjoying trips to Effigy Mounds. I'm sure there are many other backroads that just need to be discovered.

I'll commit to doing some homework and see if it can't be woven into one or two coherent routes that could support organized events. Hey, that means I have to test drive them first...cool!

I like the looks of this one. Not sure if it would take five hours (a mid-run break could stretch it some); a mid-afternoon return and BBQ might be more attractive to many folks. Maybe too late in the season to plan for grilling due to cool temps? (Tho I think most local folk are fairly hardy!)

I could easily find a day in the next week or so to head over and pre-run this route for us if there's enough interest.

per google it is 3 1/2 hours I thought that seemed long to me for the route

I guess lots of 35 MPH curves so we could do it a "little" less than that

Looks like quite a few roads in that area that would be good

We live right next to Park View. That road is right in the middle of the residence section But we know quite a few straightaways around here if that's what you all are looking for Around here, we have lots of straight rural roads, you can go faaaaast (Just don't get caught... Eldridge police don't have a lot of crime to deal with, so they go after cars
