i have heard some rumors floating around the forum about the dinan package and i did a search and found some skeptical info..... but now i want to start an official thread about it.....

so here it is.....

any info??? specs?? performance?? price?? im dying to know

When I try to go to dinanbmw.com I get specified server not found- is the link down? Temporarily.
I cannot even get google to show me a cached example of it.

 

Looks like their web site is down at the moment.

 

Dinan does have a Cooper S program, however, when I last spoke to them, they were not yet ready and said they were weeks or months away. It is something we'll definitely test when it becomes available.

I talked to a Dinan rep on the phone about 2 weeks ago and he said it would be at least another 6 months before they release anything for the cooper S. They definately have stuff in the works. He could not be specific but he implied there would definately be an exhaust, computer chip, and pulley. No headwork is planned. There is a possibililty of a throttle body, but they needed to do some testing to see if any real gains are made first before comitting to it. That's all I have. Nothing solid yet, check back in 6 months

Oh Well, at least they are trying to do something. Hope it is worth the wait.
Someone else said they had gone on a private tour of Dinan and asked questions about the mini cooper upgrades and was told that it was in the works and progressing well. Why don't they release a few things and not wait for the entire package? On the other hand if it were truely a well thought out "performance package" that really made sure that each part was well tuned for best use together then that would be worth something. Only if the location of the garage or shop has a pool of course

 

i guess im gonna have to hold out on the 'flow for now then!! unless i find some stunning offers
