Performace Exhaust Question

Ok so here is my Question.

1. Will performance exhuast for a standard mini Cooper (Borla, Magnaflow, Milltek etc...) Mount up on a Cooper S.
2. Will it increase performance over a stock cooper S system

The reason I ask is I have never been a fan of the center exit exhuast and I prefer the single outlet on a standard cooper. I already have the rear valance for a cooper and My JCW exhuast is being Sold this coming weekend So I want to due this ASAP.

Thanks

Any help is appreciated.

Not 100% sure, but I'd think you'd need to remove/relocate the battery box on the MCS in order to get the MC exhaust to fit

Hmm, now that I've googled a few pics, the Cooper exhaust doesn't make the outboard bend as far back as I'd thought....

Well from the pictures i have looked at it should work although i may need to do a little bending. but will this be far less than having a muffler shop custom make me a few pipes and a miffler that fits?

just have a custom shop do 3" all the way out. any parts store will have the tube and muffler. plus it will flow WAY better then the mc prefabbed units.

Well it looks like a trip to the muffler shop one day this week.

3" is overkill for my future 17" pulley and software mods. I am not doing headwork or anything else.

plus i want to keep it quiet.

3" isnt an overkill if you are going to get right headers for it o and just for the sound and top end, its well worth it

I've been thinking along these lines also. Where did you get the Cooper rear valence? I looked on realoem.com but couldn't find the black vinyl piece as separate from the bumper (painted piece). Does it fit on the Cooper S bumper?

The Cooper rear valence will fit a MCS bumper but the it won't line up perfectly. I have my special plan so it is going to look very factory body wise, Now I just need the exhuast to look the same. I want soem performance but i am not building an all out racer so i can sacrifice a hp here and there.

What size is most Cooper S performance exhuast? 2.5" or 2.75"
