"BBR" Mini, at 275 bhp!!

Ok I posted this topic in the 2nd generation Cooper S forum and didn't get any response. Wanted to post it here and see what you fellas think about this car.

Anyone heard or seen the "BBR" mini with 275 BHP? Here is a clip I found on youtube that was produced in an English TV show:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EvWq...elated&search=

And here is what I found about the car, pretty interesting:

The eventual Mods needed to get to 275 bhp:

I kinda want to say the 275 package has something to do with an m62 ...I remeber Don of DMH linking to a British tuner using a different SC...

275bhp for an m62 car still doesn't amaze me... we are probably at 265 with an m45...

That video is old...several years. I remember watching it back when the first Works kits started rolling off the line. I doubt it has anything to do with the m62.

The "BBR" Mini has many upgrades that includes the portted and polished stock SC. I don't think it is the m62. The upgrades is listed in one of the links I provided where it talks about the BBR.

hehehehe. The MkV is fun, but it is my wife's daily so I don't get to drive it too often anyway!

But true, until snow flies next winter I may be sleeping in the MINI.

I saw the BBR on Top Gear last year. They did a test drive of the JCW, Hartge, and BBR. I think the episode might be viewable on their website.

hehe the BBR is old hat to us in the uk been arround for ages but very few people have it as the conversion is stupidly expensive most opt for the GTT 260+ converisons www.gtt.uk.com ive driven a friends GTT 265 on track and its an amazing conversion taught a lot of M3's a lesson and even a few proches too :D they are currently working on a 300 and 350 turbo set up that totaly removes the superchrager adds a totaly new water pump, front intercooler and air box too

350bhp, <300whp=waste of time for how much they are gonna charge for this.

FBR+300whp<$10k=Priceless

pitty is thats the cheepest, and most relaible way to make a mini go faster in the uk BRR charge upwards of £16K for their conversion on top of the cooper S so paying £6k for the GTT is a bargin
