Drivetrain (Cooper S) MINI Cooper S (R53) intakes, exhausts, pulleys, headers, throttle bodies, and any other modifications to the Cooper S drivetrain.

Drivetrain want either a msd or screamin deamon coil,who's cheapest??

I remember that...Can't figure how the slight voltage increase is going to give you a second in 60 unless your old coil is just not working. Seems like there is other avenues for perfomance upgrades. Although the MDS units does looks bitchin' in red.

My MSD needed some serious modification to fit...but I won! The MINI bolts are larger in diameter than the metal sleeves molded into the plastic of the MSD. So I just drilled out the sleeves, and everything worked out fine. There's some hot plastic flying on the drill press, so be warned.
Of course, the MSD is the best, 'coz it's RED. +5HP no doubt.

Pilo Coil = 40,000 Volts
Stock Coil = 36,000 Volts

Who said we needed more volts? Maybe it is just the better quality coil pack, or maybe it's just the color.....LOL

FWIW I got the screamin demon and hotwires. Wouldn't say more power, coz it doesn't. But just smoother.
