want either a msd or screamin deamon coil, who's cheapest??
Im after a set of blue kingsbourne ignition leads and a msd or screamin deamon coil pack.Who is best for prices.Any NAM discounts??
|
I got my Screamin Deamon from Pilo as a kit including the coilpack, wires and spark plugs.
You might want to check that kit because it is a great deal. I then changed the spark plugs for Denso and could not be happier! |
I was contemplating on getting a plasma booster or the Screamin Deamon. Do they do the same thing? Does it make sense to have both or a big waste of money?
Thanks. |

Do a search and read threads on plasma boosters.
As for the coils, etc...the Pilo kit or the Outmotoring kits seem the best deal out there. |
We sell the Kingsborne 8mm Firebraid wires in either blue, black, or red, for
$49.95 a set. Brad Custom Mini Shop |
Unless you are pushing 20+ psi, or your car has over 100K miles, I still dont see replacing the stock coil. The wires - just bling too unless yours are shot...
|
Cheapest?...take out your OEM coil and paint it either blue or red (McLaren Orange is more powerful)...no one else will know the difference except your wallet :)

just pm'd you msfitoy

in school we were told the spark requires 18000 vlts. no more . these days the gaps are bigger . but still 40000 volts? !!! i bought one anyway . i can tell you my mileage is way down since going back to stock . don't know why . car runs pi$$a .

Clever idea MSFITOY!

Best advice so far. |
Or you could paint it gold and tell everyone that not only does it have gold connectors but it is entirely made out of gold which allows more voltage to be produced... bigger spark... bling:lol:

OE black rules. A case where less really is more......

Ah, c'mon we all know Ferrari red is faster than McLaren Orange

Ok then... Red light is faster than other colors. It has a higher wavelength, giving it more power. More power means higher speed  ... just ask the American car manufactures   . When a full spectrum of light enters water, the red light bends the least. Orange has a slightly lower wavelength than red so it is the next fastest color.

Awsome response:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::l ol::lol:! The tech. specs on both units aren't that different from the stock coil. Maybe you should go chrome. |

Hey I asked for numbers...not words
hmmm...numbers...ok... :impatient :impatient :impatient The speed of light going through a vacuum is 3 x 10^8 m/s ("c") for all colors. When you enter a material, the speed is reduced to "c" divided by the refractive index "n". The refrative index is inversely proportional to the wavelength meaning red light has a higher wavelength and a lower refractive index. So, lets say we have air as our material where n=1.0008. Lets say "n" for red = 1.00079 and blue would be 1.00081(1.000792 for orange  ). This would mean the speed of red light is (3 x 10^8)/1.00079 = ~299.763k m/s. The speed of orange light would be (3 x 10^8)/1.000792 = ~299.762k m/s. That's a whopping 2 thousand meters per second :eek2: that red is faster than orange. Sorry McLaren  Ok, back to your regularly scheduled program. My brain has had enough physics for the day. |
Ok.... Match race? I don't need no stinking numbers. Flat black is BOSS.
MY COIL IS FASTER THAN YOURS END |
I remember in the older Moss Mini catalogs, they claimed an upgraded coil pack will consistently yield 1 second quicker 0-60 times. LMAO
