JCW + 15% Pulley = worth the time?
Did a few different searches and didn't see a topic on this.
Anyone done it, and if so, do you feel it's worth the bother to do a conservative little bump down in pulley size?
I have an 03 JCW (and an 06 I will leave alone for now) and was wondering if 15% was worth the trouble.

No - we typically do the 2% crank pulley on the JCW, but changing the pulley on the supercharger would defeat 80% + of your upgrade from the JCW package. Most of the gain from the JCW kit comes from the smaller pulley on the JCW supercharger (which is otherwise identical to the '05 and later S supercharger).
Hope that helps!

OK, a little confused by your response Randy.
I thought that the JCW pulley on an 2003 was 13.8%. (I know the 05's (and up) have that same pulley)
Wouldn't going to 15% make a little difference on the 03? Or is 1.2% not enough to notice?
The pulley on the JCW is the same on all years, and the S pulley is the same on all years. It is around 14%, and the 1% really is not worth doing.
The difference in the JCW supercharger used to be not only the pulley, but instead of a ceramic coating, it used a graphite coating. In '05, all the superchargers went to the graphite.
I just don't like seeing folks pay a lot of money for the JCW upgrade, then change the pulley for a very minimal change in power.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hope that helps!

Much understood response, thanks Randy!
I knew the coatings were carried over to the S model from the JCW, and thought the 1% might garner a minimal difference.
But I'm not gonna spend a couple hours doing a pulley job if it's worthless.
