Drivetrain Randy: What about us here in the North East?
Any plans on taking the Mini Motorsports road show to the North East or Mid Atlantic? I would be happy to provide lodging and my garage for you to use, I don't have a lift or anything, just a 3 Ton floor jack, Air compressor and a bunch of CraftsMan tools.

cheese hit the nail on hte head - you guys have a shop up there familiar with the install, not ripping anyone off. Helix has done a ton of the pulleys, and they do it for a reasonable charge. One of the reasons I chose FL, SoCal, and Dallas was because of the lack of installations going on there (and in the case of FL and Dallas, I was "encouraged" to come by some fellow MINI enthusiasts).
Besides - every one of my weekends are now full with the three installs and autocrossing!

Yeah, the guys at Helix really know their stuff. I got my pulley installed last week and Eric did a great job. It's not too far off of I-95 and you can get directions from their web site: http://www.helix13.com/
The pulley and install was under $500 and took ~3 hours. In fact, they are minicooperonline's latest sponsor! Check them out if you're in the NE.

Seriously, what's wrong with you???
I'll second what Daytona wrote. I'm so glad Helix is "right here" in Philly. So close to Jersey. They are fantastic, I couldn't recommend them more highly. Chris and Eric are great guys and really know their stuff. Besides a two hour trip in a MINI is really only an hour and 20 minutes!

A couple of us Canucks up here in Toronto are making the drive down to Helix on May 24th weekend. We'd love to meet others in the area and grab a pint, or two or three....
Can't wait!
