Hood scoop question.

In the current edition of MC2, in the ALTA advertisement on page 15, the MCS has a diverter attached to the top of it's hood scoop. It looks to be made of carbon fiber. I emailed Alta, but they replied that they have no information about it. I also searched here and could not find anything. Does anyone here know who produces this item and where it can be purchased?

(If I am in the wrong forum on this topic, I'm sorry. Switch it to wherever it belongs.)

Much thanks!

I believe the M7 scoop is the entire scoop whereas the part I am talking about is added to the top of the stock scoop. The end result is the same as far as grabbing a bigger handful of air. The add-on piece is also carbon fiber whereas the M7 is currently not available in cf. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Much thanks!

WTH!

That piece is $189.00!!!

It is not even CF! I'ts just plastic made to look like CF.

I want to say that it is almost kind of cool.... For maybe $20 bucks, but for that price.... They can keep it!

I'm sticking with the one that came with my DFIC

That one is going on as soon as I get a chance to have it painted!
