New Samco Intake Hose for MCS

Hey MCS Peoples,

I'm sure you guys have seen the Induction hose by Samco Sports, the one that goes between your stock or aftermarket Cold-Air box into the throttle body? It works pretty well... looks good under the hood and you can notice a little bit more supercharger whine.

There's another tube that goes from the front of the engine bay just above the radiator and leads fresh air into the Airbox. The thing with this though is that it has three resonators in it and seems to be a little restrictive.

Anyway... so I approached Samco to see if they made this other induction tube and they said that they have not made this tube yet but would make one if 20 or more people wanted it.

Would anyone else besides myself be intrested in this? Let me know. I'm going to attach pics of the Induction hose they already have.. you can see the other tube I'm talkin about and two of the resonators.

I might be interested.

Can you say why the resonators are there?

What are your expectations from replacing the OEM hose?

I've always thought the lower hose that drops down is meant to act as a place to catch water. But if there is some benefit without a consequence I'm game.

I'm no expert on induction or anything, but I'm just hoping to get a little more airflow into the Airbox because that's the best source for fresh air. I don't believe water induction will be too much of an issue, because the intake into that path is behind the grill with the slots pointed downward. I'm sure you'll get a few drops of water in there, but I don't think that'll be a problem.

The resonators are there as intake silencers.

I have a Samco Sport induction hose, it's black and doesn't look as bloated as the one in the pic.

Any Idea of the combined cost of the yet to be produced intake tube and the tube leading from the airbox to the throttle body? I have neither but would be interested in both.

I have no clue as of the price and from a manufacturers standpoint it's hard to give an estimate. To give an estimate you have to consider the difficulty of the production and the amount of material used to make it. Let me contact Samco to ask if they can give me an estimate and also throw in an induction tube for an additional price.

I'm interested if it will work in conjection with their clean-side hose (which I already have) and the JCW CAI.

I hate the OEM hard plastic snorkel. I cut the resonator off of it the day I swapped out the OEM intake, and it's still a PITA to route around into place.

I have the upper hose in RED now. I would also like the lower hose in RED. Add me to the list.

I might be interested depending on the price. What is the I.D. of this hose compared to stock?

I'll get color orders later, just wanna get it started first. The ID isn't what would increase flow.. it's just that it's smoother and doesn't have resonators.. that's what I was lookin for.

Hey, does anyone know if it's different for the JCW or the same?
