OK, so after I get through with FL, I am considering a road trip to SoCal (how's that for customer service!). DaveinDenver is out there, and after hearing about his adventures with the SCMM, I just may need to join you guys! Again, I need to get dates and contact info from anyone who might be interested.

Also, if anyone has interest in putting up a weary mechanic for a few days, let me know that too .

I will probably be motoring to SoCal, as the drive is a blast (and it is a much shorter distance). Then you all can see the "mule" .

The pulley install with the part included is $400.

randy your a champ,

I'd invite your to stay at my apartment (correction: my closet) but due to the fact that it is 180sq ft. and no I am not kidding, I don't think you would enjoy it. Ah one of the sacrifices of living in santa barbara, insane rent prices and mean land ladies. But I would love to get a pulley from you. Hope all is well, let me know when you are thinking about coming. Just out of curiosity, what method of install have you been doing lately, I know there has been lots of talks about alternative methods.

Hey Randy, I am 100% in for sure on the pulley. Dave gave me a ride in his car yesterday and I was sold on that and the intake. His Borla exhaust sounded nearly stock (the intake even overpowered it). I didn't get a chance to hear the Quicksilver b/c I was wondering about that but the Magnaflow was extremely impressive. If a further package deal will exist (intake/pulley/exhaust etc) I may be in for that as well

Randy,

I don't know if you are interested in comong to Northern California for an install party, but I would be glad to put you up if you did. For the install in SoCal, it would be great almost any time in June (after the 10th) or July for me, May is kinda out - I'm getting married on the 24th!

We have lots of Mini's up here so there might be interest in having a pulley-thon. Please post the dates if you would, and let me know your thoughts about NoCal
(the drive back to CO IS beautiful along I-80 throught the Sierras........and Laguna Seca is close by.......) If not, add me to the list of customers for the SoCal event, I will be there dates allowing.

David

I think I'm going to limit it to SoCal for now - maybe you can make a road trip down form NoCal if you get enough people - it would be fun! If you can get 13 people in NoCal, I can drive up there too.

I want to keep it on the cheap, so I can actually make something (as in $). If I can line up some living quarters for a few days in each locale (SoCal and NoCal) it just might work.

E-mail me with your contact info if you are interested. Ialso would like to get an idea of dates here on the thread. Let me know what works for you.

Randy,

It's a no-brainer for me to be in SoCal, I grew up there and have lots of family to stay with. It would also give me a chance to get the little S out on the open highway! Like I said, anything after the 10th of June and before the last week in July works for me if others can fit it in.

I don't blame you for wanting to make a little green on the deal, you should if just for your contribs to this board. I will email you with my contact info and I will look here for the dates.

Randy,

Definitely count me in! I would be able to attend any weekend except for Memorial Day weekend. Also, almost any weekday with enough advance notice.

Thanks for coming out this way!

Albert

How bout installing a Magnafolw while you're here if I preorder it and have you send it out here????
I can work around just about any date with a little bit of notice...

MiniRyno,

Which pulley is it? I will consider doing it with yours, as long as it isn't the first gen Mania pulley.

itsthe dirty bird,

It will depend on the facilities I can line up.

Dates:

Here is what is left after the other installs and the auto-x season - June 12-15th or July 10-13th. Let me know which works better - and I still am taking offers for a place that has garage floor area (a house garage is fine).

Thanks!

Honestly, it depends on how many installs I get. I have to get enough to at least cover the cost of coming out there before I can say for sure that I can cut a deal for the space. It does seem only fair though... Just think - you could be the one who provides the opportunity for everyone elses smiley faces after they get their pulley done

Im in on either date just need to know if it is for sure so I can order all the parts and be ready for your arrival. I might be able to work out something for the stay but it depends on where you will be doing the work out of? So Cal, is a big area!
Let me know if I can help

Krklar,

I haven't chosen a site yet - I think folks can drive a bit for the one event hopefully!

Do you have any garage space? I am for sure on one of those dates, as those are the only ones I have open. Why don't you give me a call tomorrow and we can discuss the parts you would like to do adn the space you may have available.

Thanks for the offer!!!!!

Randy,

I can make either date, but I would prefer the July dates to the June ones if my vote be known. Have you posted this message on the Northern California Regional forum? I'll bet that there are more than a few pulley-wanting people that would be willing to drive down for this. And, I don't know if you post there but, the Mini2 site might be a good place to get the word out. Then again, you don't want to be too popular..........

David, I'll post a link to this thread in the So and Nocal forums - good idea. I don't spend much time at the other site, so I'd feel kinda weird posting over there seeing as I'm not a sponsor (ethics and such). Word of mouth can't be controlled though (hint, hint ).

OK, so we need to narrow the dates to June or July - speak up folks, right now it's split vote!

Ok, I went ahead and cross-posted. That should count for another June vote right?

Well Albert................

I cross-posted in the NorCal section of Mini2 so that means another vote for July! C'mon, give a guy a break, on the June dates I'll just be back from my honeymoon! Oh well, what must be must be................

Randy, It's Bud...... we emailed last week regarding H-Sport vs. H&R....I'll offer the use my race shop (complete with lift, Snap-on & air tools included) if your idea of So.Cal. is San Diego??? We could even put you up, not a problem!

I'll do it for the benefit of my fellow MCS owners, as I'm ordering a JCW kit for my MCS. Just let me know what I can do to help!!!

PM me if you want to talk about it!

Randy and Bud,

Speaking for only one NorCal guy, as long as I'm driving down from up here LA or San Diego is no different to me. Especially if there is a real garage available.

David
