Did you just say that you were going to have the ECU mods available for the pulley install gig in San Diego! Have you even an estimate for what it will cost? It would be great to be able to do it at the same time as the pulley. If the numbers pan out over the next couple of months I would be very interested in having you flash the chip when the pulley is done.

I have this very bad addiction and you're not helping any with all this new stuff.

I see the So-Cal Pulley Mod thread is up again. The last I emailed you about it, ended in me having a 13 July install date.
I would like to be sure this is confirmed. Are you going to post your latest list of confirmations on MCO? Can't wait, I've been "eeeger" for this since before I took delivery on my "S."
OH! Are you going to do any testing on the "Shark Injector" coming out this month?

MINI-Motorsport takes cash, check, AmEx, VISA, MC, and Discover. The cost for the pulley is $400 installed (includes parts and labor) and we now use the Alta pulley, but also provide the original interference fit on request. Both are in stock. The ECU programming retails for $749, and normally sells from MINI-Motorsport for $720, but during all of the pulley parties it is $699 (I'm trying here).

Yes, the Shark injector will be tested, when it comes available.

Cool, I'll wait for the Shark Injectors results (about $400) before I spend $720 on what may be near the same results. The makers say the Shark Injector tweeks more areas than normal.

No offense to you Randy, I know you must sacrifice alot of time on our behalf.

Well! Randy just finished up here in dallas! He's a real cool guy which made for a great weekend for everyone to hang around. He really kept everything on time and worked NON-STOP! Be sure to have plenty of cold drinks on hand, a good stereo for his tunes and a plain hamburger w/ no mustard & Ketsup. I think someone said, "It's strange seeing him with out the blue shirt"

Just got the pulley and ECU done by Randy in Dallas. I had the pulley and ECU done on different days, and therefore was able to drive the car with the pulley and no ECU change, and then with the ECU added. Ok, the verdict: Fork over the dough; the ECU feels like it adds as much extra power to the pulley as the pulley does to the stock S. In my opinion, it is an awful lot of bang for the buck, and well worth the money. Show me ANY other mod that has this much impact.

I have a new baby, and a small and very old house (86 yrs) undergoing restoration (i.e., I currently have no kitchen!)

Can someone help find him some free or cheap space? I don't think he'd be very comfortable on the cold cemet floor at the shop! (Crud, I knew we shouldn't have thrown out that old couch that was in the office!)

For those of you interested in the ECU, the biggest problem has been time zone logistics. Because of the drastic difference in Pacific and Euro time, I need those of you interested in the ECU there very early - 7:30 or so - or get downloaded the day before your install. The special price of $699 for the weekend still holds, and take a look at some of the testimonials from Dallas and Cincinatti if you are having a tough time deciding. This should not be viewed as a necessary upgrade however - it's just a bigger performance gain.

The reason I say the 14th will be only early morning installs is because of those gooooofy guys in NorCal that have required me to fly up that day. My flight is at 5:50pm on the 14th, so as long as I have time to get cleaned up and to the airport by 4:00, I should have no problem fitting someone (notpaddyhopkirk) in.

Thanks again for all of your help with these. It is really a lot of fun meeting everyone and hanging out talking cars for four solid days.
