hose clamps

Ok,

Easy question to all, but it is killing me. How do you get the stupid OEM hose clamps back on? The ones around the air intake and hose from the SC to intercooler? Something this simple when compared to the mod I just put on and it is killing my butt, I'm out of ideas and tools. Thanks

dikes or simple channel locks are good. you gotta be on the bump and not interfere with it passing under the finger side.

After the factory clamps are used a few times they start to stretch and don't do the same job. Just switch to a regular hose clamp. Much easier to use and you can tighten it as much as you want.

You can also just use a regular flathead screwdriver. Worked for me!

Thank all. I have given up, I'm going to BMW tomorrow to buy adjustable screw type clamps instead. Pain level reduced.

Can you post the size when you get a chance? I just ordered an Amsoil conical filter for mine and want to go ahead and get the right clamps before the filter arrives. Thanks!

Go to lowe's and buy a set of 2 1/2" clamps. Or was it 3".... Either way they are less than a dollar.

The rough size is 3 3/4 inches at the open position, also they are the same width. Cheers I did look around at other stores but could find the narrower width like the OEM clamps.
