I wondering if the M45 blower can produce more that 18psi with any combo of pulley and crank pulley. I'm running at 17.5psi with a 17% Alta and an OEM crank pulley.

it may very well be the accuracy of their gauges!!!!
i can tell you Defi gauges are very accurate reading gauges.
most others are very off. the cheaper they are the less accurate as a good rule of thumb....

using a scan tool and looking at the map sensor reading is the best way to see whats going on in terms of boost ouput of the super charger.

not trying to insult anyone but auto meter are really bad when it comes to accuracy. i've had experiences installing many different brand gauges out there. the other thing is on the exhaust side of the equation affects boost too. i.e. free flow exhaust and header = less boost more cfm flow = more hp.

Please try not to double or triple post....just click the edit button.

Anyway, I'm not sure why you want to know who has the most boost, because like JSW said, power isn't all about just boost. Free-flowing parts (intake, exhaust, header, DFIC, etc) will actually lower the boost, but you will gain more power. At least, this is what I've gotten from reading these forums for a little while.

About 15-16...sometimes 18-19 in 4th at redline...I think the air is superheated at this amount of boost though(on an m45 SC) I would like to do a back to back dyno run with a 19% then change out to a 15 and 2 combo and measure HP/TQ vs IAT...someday

I didn't say I wanted to know how has the most, I just wanted to know what people are doing. And yes I know about "Free Flowing Parts" I have most of them already. Also take it easy on JSWMCS, he has good info to offer other many owners.

I do manage to trip the DSC overboost light with a 19%, and that only happens if over 18+ psi.

Actually, not that true. Defi meters will show 0.1 boost more than actual boost on the dyno... but it's still alright!

What does not having a bypass valve do for you? So is your car always on boost?

No, but at an idle i pull less vaccum than normal, and when im in boost i stay in boost much longer than before. plus theres no boost bleed off when only going partial throttle.

i wouldnt recomend it, i get under 22mpg with my car the way it sits now

also, the car lopes a bit at an idle, especialy after just coming to a complete stop.

I have the Detroit tuned bypass valve and I am getting 24.4 last tank with all the mods and the 62... I think that is pretty good

how many codes are you tripping?

you will get higher IAT's with your lack of a bypass valve... i wonder how much that effects your performance

Does this code clear it's self or do you need to have someone reset it? Mostly thinking about the light. I just bought the ALTA 17% and I'm set for an install nest month.

It clears itself after several restarts. 17% probably won't trip it anyways.

I suggest a scan tool to read and delete codes..... modded cars are more likely to throw codes.... and it is good to know what they are.....

are any of you monitoring your air/fuel.... with all this boost etc I'm wondering how many are running lean.....

"too lean = car runs great right until it blows up"

leaning out the MCS engine can get you 10 whp (or more) just wondering what a/f you are all running as I make some decisions...
