Pretty Header.

This is not for the Mini and I am not sure what all the springs and stuff are for, or if they do anything, but it sure is pretty:

The springs ar because it is a slipfit header. they compensate for expansion, engine movement & shock. Yoy can also replace different sections if needed, as well as useing longer or shorter sections for tuneing.

Nice...Very nice. I'll bet they are $$$$$

There are some parts that are cheap? I got some free mints.... mini mints...

Jackson headers are on my top 4 list for best header available for the Mini though.

Except for the ones with the curved flanges...
Sorry, Steve, I couldn't resist given how much "air" MSFITOY's woes got here on NAM. He seems happy with his Megan, and all's well that ends well.
I used to have a Civic, and Jackson Racing was always on my top 4 list, for everything!

cheers,

Well the typical "that's F'n expensive" sticker price for MINI parts is actually normal. So an $800 header is actually ...uhhh...average
A $1500 header equates to... not cheap.

Obe are you saying the Jackson Mini header is $800? I heard it was close to 1600.

Phil, you have to wonder, how could you not see that much curve...

All the high HP Hondas, around here for the most part, are all running Jackson headers.

I think you read my post backwards.$800 = normal $1500 = not cheap.
I was and am guessing at the $1500 figure based on having read about them in the past.

Just weld in a cat on the section of pipe after the ball joint flange

Superbike technology brought to the street! Jackson Racing and Jardine Performance Products (Official supplier of exhausts to Honda Racing's Superbike Team) have teamed up to bring you the highest quality, most powerful exhaust header available. Includes test pipe, hardware and instructions. For Off-Road use only and not emissions approved for polution controlled vehicles.

See Don they reckon they've got the "most powerful exhaust header available"

I belive everything I read. That's why, most of the time, I read backwards.

Oh... no where does it say for Professional Use Only

They still make good stuff.

Actually the header in the OP photo reminded me of a Mugen header for a MINI that was posted about a year ago here on NAM--Japan only of course, but that sucker was amazing, lots of twists and lots of springs, 3 flex joints (!) in a 4-2-1 design. Maybe not as well designed as the Stahl, but the kind of header you'd actually remove the firewall for just to see it as you were driving along... (and cooking eggs for breakfast at the same time!)
It's a pity most of this stuff is unseen.
Which is what I noticed yesterday--I was driving to work wearing my new Schroth harness and feeling all good about myself realizing that to the rest of the world, my car looked the same as it did the day before. Not a lick of difference, yet to me, a whole world of difference. Oh well. Even MINI owners don't notice most of the mods on my car unless they have Alta, or M7 or (whatever) written on them. I need a line of my own.
