a 4% crank pulley with a 19% SC pulley is going to spin your SC so fast it's just going to throw out a bunch of heat and not do anything. SC pulley you're looking at 14-16 WHP, crank pulley, add another 3-4. Air filter, probably nothing. Maybe 2-3. All together you'd probably gain 18-20 HP from installing everything.

Higher SC speed = Super high supercharger exit heat. Also the reduction of a 19%+4% will go beyond the redline of the supercharger.

If you look at some dyno's posted in some threads, you can see that the MCS peak horsepower usually comes at high RPMs.

I haven't seen dyno's with that setup, but theoretically speaking the high rpm's will cause the supercharger to spin way beyond its efficiency range, creating so much heat that you will get diminishing returns after certain RPM's.

I would just stick with the pulley you have (14.8) and add a 2 or 4% crank and be done.

Back in the day....
Spillman ran 19%+4% for 10k miles with no major problems. I think he might have had a broken belt or two, but thats it.

Keep in mind you will probably be changing your belt much more often with this setup. I run the 2% and 15% with zero problems at 20k miles.

Yup. You can most certainly run a 19% + 1-4% crank pulley, BUT...

You just can't safely or as effectively rev as high.

Basically what it does is move your power curve lower... but in the higher RPM's you'll be outspinning your superchargers designed red line, and can run risk of overheating things. I think as long as you keep it below the stock redline, you could do this effectively and make your mini a monster little street car. I might just have plans to do this myself MUHAHAHAHAHHA!
