Installed a Larini Header today!

Today I'm in Scottsdale AZ and drove to Mini Works with a couple buddies. We went just to look but I landed up having a Larini Header. The thing is a work of art and I love the sound and power increase. Does anyone else have this Header?
Mario

I wish I did. I'd have to sell a kidney to be able to afford one, though!
Nice going!!

Never mind. I got confused. NEXT week is your Fireballed appointment. I'm really eager to hear the results.

For curious minds... This is the same thing as a MINI Madness header. I think I'll get the Larini here in a couple of months, just because the name sounds better

Me 2

I am still in the air as to the cylinder head and being that it and a header are really all i can do to my car performance wise to make it any better (besides an M62 kit or a turbo-only setup), I'd like to see these results, as I have already seen several of both the Webb and Cosworth Setups.

'twill be interesting

Mikey

yes, Monday I drop my car off at Fireballed for three days to do a predyno, install, and post dyno. I can't wait but the new header is fun. It was only a one hour install.

Mario - Have you done any other mod besides the header since your Fireballed tune; and, did you get a "post-dyno" after that tune?

If the header is your only mod since then and you have a post-dyno result, then a comparison might be made, and you maybe could share it? Just a thought.

If your upcoming pre-dyno at Fireballed were to closely match the previous post-dyno, then it might provide the basis for a rare honest appraisal of header performance effectiveness.

Of course, only for the Larini and only for your setup (insert legal jargon here indicating "results may vary," etc.). But IMHO that is better than nothing for those of us contemplating spending over a $G on a header in the future.

It would mean a lot to me. In fact, if what I have described were possible, and you were to do it, I would let you call me "Luigi" if you wanted to.

From his thread about getting a head, cam, and ecu tune for those, I believe he states that there will be a pre-dyno, and thus we hopefully would see.

I dropped my car off tonight (sunday) with Brian at Fireballed. The mods I have on my car are; 17% pulley, Alta intake, Fireballed software, Magnaflow exhaust and Larini Header and I haven't even made my first payment yet. The car will be dyno'd Monday morning and worked on for the next couple days. The car should be ready on Thursday. This will be a great birthday gift for myself.

For those of you who would like to see the picture of both headers side by side:

Good Choice Mario, it was niece meeting you guys, glad you love it, how about a Larini cat back to go with it.

I would be interested in getting feedback and dyno numbers if you have any.

Someone in this thread mention the Mini madness header, as per our discussion with Larini, wich are quite upset by the way, the mini madness header is nothing more then a cheap copy of the Larini.

As all of you know, not all headers that look alike are the same, the quality of the welds, the material used, the type of flex joint and most important, the 200 cell Larini high flow catalityc converter which does not bring your check engine light like other cats, makes the Larini header and cat one of the very if not the best header available.

Victor
