Ask ALTA

... I had luck, cause my dad works at a garage where they built custom lorrys and trucks. Sometimes this kind of rubber hose/gasket is used there to seal doors.
But my replacement has also been gone after a while.

So I built a complete new air diverter for the ALTA ic which utilises the BMW/Mini stock rubber foam gasket.

PEP Boys carries it. Whether it's the right dimension or not I don't know.

I thought I saw that on Discovery Channel. Hieroglyphics in an Egyptian tomb or something.

Or you can just go to the hardware store and buy1/2" or 3/4"water pipe insulation sleeve. use double sided 3M foam tape to stick it on.

You're probably just going to spill air out and lose some efficiency with your IC. Not harmful.

It will work! As a temporary or permanent fix, in any event he did ask for HELP and alternatives. Just maybe he didn't want to wait or couldn't:impatient get to a junk yard where there's ton's of that stuff.
What did you think he was worried about not having a part on his diverter and getting gigged at a photo op or car show: sad:

I've done that by accident and without the seal, the IC is next to useless...ie, IAT rockets up and down with the go pedal...
