Sid, by trimming most of the flange off, they look like they should be welded and finished off as part of the bonnet.
Unless you use some small a$$ rivets.

And you're gonna put them on the top of the hood as opposed to having them fastened to the underside? Any sealers or gaskets?
Seems like once you get the first holes drilled and fastened the rest will be easy.
