MCSa Vacuume hoses

EDIT: Sorry for the misspelling of the word vaccum. (Got it right that time!)

I have a 2005 MCSa. Since it is an automatic, there are 2 vacuume hoses that connects to the TB. Well, i installed an HAI 3 weeks ago, and just jeft the vacuume hoses hanging there. (I have a "mini" filter for them, just need a connector for 2) I just read a thread that said the car should go into limp home mode if they arent connected. Are there risks? So I need to get that "mini" filter hooked up? Someone told me that a little oil drips out of the hoses, and to just set them against the HAI.

Thanks for answers,
William

ooh i don't know about just letting them hang there. Can you draw a diagram of how they were connected up before and after?

Will, they were both connected to the hose that went from the air box to the TB. I removed that hose, disconnected the vacuume hoses, and mounted my HAI to the TB. The hoses are leaning against the filter. I have a filter for the vacuum lines, if you think I need it.

I was wondering the same exact thing about these 2 hoses when I put the Alta CAI and I was sent the wrong one for a manual. I am considering switching to a HAI to see how it works. The whistling sound from the Alta is kinda annoying.
