I believe Randy sells the Borla for around the same price. I'd give him the business since he's helped us with so much information. We need to support the guys that save us money by testing all of the products!

Well...I don't have a Mini, but my current vehicle (Land Rover Discovery) has a Borla cat-back exhaust system. I have had the system on the SUV for 2 years now, and have mixed impressions. In terms of quality, it has been flawless. I have heard of a few instances with Borla mufflers blowing up, but have never experienced anything like that with mine. The downside is the drone. It gets ridiculously loud if you drive about 30 miles or more. Mainly around 20-30 and 55-65. But from outside it is amazing. I may be wrong, but .Summit Racing seems to carry Borla exhaust systems for a lot less than what others are charging.

Well my new Borla came yesterday and I went to my friends hose today and he put it on for me. (I helped a little) It sounds so nice but smells terrible. I have a little rattle up front so got to wait for it to cool down a bit and readjust. Not to loud and *** HP feels like an increase. Bonus: Got a free Bola hat with the system. Well not free but it was unexpected. Hope the damn smell goes away soon.

Oh man. This has been discussed at very great length. Do a forum search for d-mini-ero and Magnaflow and Quicksilver, and you should find the thread.

Basically, some exhausts reach frequencies of resonance at certain rpms/speeds that really intrude into the cabin and become a huge nuisance. It's different than just volume; it's like your whole head is vibrating. Totally unbearable for some people.

The smell is probably just oil burning off. Give it a couple of days and it'll be gone.

Believe me I checked everywhere for the best price and unfortunatley Randy and all the sponsors on MCO prices where much higher than where I got mine from. I work hard for my money and if it was only a few dollar difference I would have got it from him but it was a lot more than a few bucks. Sorry Randy I paid under $600.00 delivered for my brand new in the box Borla Cat-Back exhaust system. Maybe the springs that are next I will get from him. But like I said the price matters to me. Not who is selling them.

ZAKdog, he said sub 600, not 400. But Nobull, Randy also has a price matching/beating policy I believe.

So...you could order from Randy, have Randy ship to the company you bought from as a "return" and give randy your buisness and save a few $$ (assuming randy beats their price for you).

I do have a price matching policy. I have no problem helping people out though, and if that means convenience for them - I have no problem at all with that. It really is all about the MINI experience and making sure people are happy with their car. I don't want to make it so complicated that it's hard for folks to enjoy the mods they do. I am glad to spend the time on the phone discussing the options out there and helping folks make the best decisions. It's a bummer when I spend a lot of time with someone and then they buy it from someone else, but as long as they get the product that will work for them, and it is the easiest solution for the customer, I believe that will benefit MINI-Motorsport in the end. The policy is really just about helping people get what they need.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Nobull, feel free to contact me in the future for anything and I'll do my best to make it as easy for you as possible. It sounds like it would be a pain at this point to do a return and all, but if you want to discuss that too, I'm game.

First of all I paid exactly $602.38 for the Borla system shipped to my door. Two days after I bought mine the price went up quite a bit. To $665.00 before shipping charges. So I got one of the last ones at the below $600.00 price. It was $575.00 before shipping charges. Now Randy, I had no idea that he has a match and/or beat it price policy. If I knew that of course I would of gotten it from him. I want to save as much as I can so I can continue to add to my car. I would support him for all future purchases of upgraded mods as long as he has what I need. I cannot return the system I have because if you read the post you would have seen that its already on the car. I will be purchasing hopefully a set of springs soon and I will be getting them from Randy now that I know of his policy. Hope that explains the reason for the posts. Like Randy helping us out with testing if I can help someone save a few bucks I will. I know I work hard for mine and so does everyone else for that matter. Talk to you soon Randy. By the way how much for a set of springs for an "S".

Report on the Borla exhaust.....Just completed a 700 mile trip with the new exhaust. All I have to say is I LOVE IT!!!! Anyone concrened about noise that most of the others have this system has a little rumble but nothing that makes you wish you had the stock back on. So if you were wondering if it is a good system trust me. Get it. You won't regret it.
