Um, Mini told me that JCW does not make a CAI for the MSCa, which is a problem. I have read that some of you installed it yourself, which is fine, but I don't personally have that skill set. If JCW or Dinan made a CAI for the automatic, trust me, this thread would not exist.

I just installed a dinan (which is NOT made specially for the automatic) on my auto... I don't understand why that makes a difference if you're using the stock intake hose - everything else seems to be the same. I'm using the Alta auto transmission intake hose on mine. Find a local club member who will help you with a JCW or Dinan install. But, honestly, the Dinan install was EASY. Two hose clamps (you have to be able to turn a screwdriver) and a tiny bit of snipping and drilling to make the cowl panel cutout - but the instructions are easy to follow and a template is included. If you can't do it, I bet you know someone who can.

Note that if you are replacing the intake hose, it IS a different piece for the auto - has an extra port on it for a small air/vacuum type hose vs. the manual intake hose. But I don't see why any intake that works on the manual won't work on the auto...
