Just thought I would Post a link of the torque link installed.. This is just a prototype for testing purposes. I will be writing a full analysis on the link in a few weeks after some long and HARD testing.
From the pictures, it looks as though it replaces one of the motor mounts. What is the additional benefit vs. a powerflex engine mount? Just additional stiffness?
^^ Good Question.. I'm twincharged, and I keep Breaking motor mounts.. and because I break motor mounts I break halfshafts.. This replacement was cheaper on my end, and I can gaufrantee that this one won't break. I know for a fact that other things will break. Also as you can see, the thickness of the material was CNC'd and not cast aluminum like the stock piece. Perhaps I should post a pic of the stock unit?
Seeing so many "engine mount stabilizer little piston thingees" at AMVIV made me interested. So please get those photos up. I'll buy one (that I think is well made)
PS I thought that the one on Tuls TC car was pretty impressive...
cheers, phil
