A plan for sure. Does the UN know about this? I'll be first in line to sign up...

Not sure where this is going. Obe & Rich are, in fact, both right. There is never enough air & only the air needed is used.

Bottom line, the more air the better.

Sorry Steve but Rich said this:

"Now, don't get me wrong...forced air induction, with proper intake design, has it's place...but our little engines can only take in so much before too much can actually be "too much"!"

I just received and installed my Alta CAI box top cover.

The installation is very easy to do and everything fits great.

Since there is no picture of the Alta CAI box top cover in this thread, I post a few...

Illegal?

Is the Alta CAI box top illegal? It says on their website "Off soar Use only". How could a CAI box top be ILLEGAL!?!?

In some states like California, CAI's are for off road use only. I believe that is what the reference is to.

Side note. IMO the box cover/top enhances the sound of the ALTA System. So if you are looking to tone down the sound, this is not the way.

lol, you'd think so huh

I've used most stuff out there for T&E including OEM and for my set up the ALTA stuff for the 1st Gen works for me.

Recently had their Sport 2.5 inch exhaust installed going from a Magnaflow. With the JCW software and current mods the system provides the best torque and sound I have heard yet while still running the OEM exhaust manifold. Nice growl and no highway drone.

I have a Alta CAI Box Top that I never installed. Still has all the hardware and the box. It was for my 2002 MCS that I sold last fall.

The one I have is black.

PM me if interested. Shipping cost would be actual to your location.
