Pulley, No Hub

Q: Any way to get ALTA's 19 without the hub?
I have the hub from their 15 & it's time to move my powerband.

HELIX offers theirs, sans hub.

Thanks in advance, all.

Find some one who wants an alta 15% - sell them your 15% and the new hub?

split the cost of the new pulley?

big head, no brain

G.damnit, fishbulb.

That's the kind of crap-ola I don't need. Just tell 'em why don't ya? Yeah, I got all this hat & no... well, you know... Cattle.

=> Thanks for the tip, fishybulb. That's the thing to do.

Although, no reason ALTA shouldn't offer 'em sans hub nowadays.

Cheers!

Why is that? My mechanic said that I couldn't reuse the stock pulley when I asked for it and I didn't understand why.

The stock pulley I could understand about not wanting to re-use because it is a shrink fit with no alignment features.. So it would be hard to align to teh belt path correctly...

As for re-using a stock aftermarket pulley.. I don't see a problem with that as long as the groves and hub are in good condition... Actually, I am running a re-installed Alta 15% now..

Just my thoughts

You're right, BBCooper. Guess there isn't much a belt can do to these pullies.

& hey, if anyone wants a 15 & new hub they'll nab a deal.
