injector advice please...

A local shop here has an extra set of 400cc M7 injectors and are willing to unload them for cheap but I am not sure if this would be beneficial for my current setup and how much. I currently have a ProMINI 17% pulley and intake, OBX header and SuperSprint catback exhaust, and MTH tuner file is on the way. Is this something I should do? Thanks in advance for your advice.

well I'm watching cause this is something I'll need info on down the road but I'm at an equal loss of info aside from more boost means more air means need more gas in chamber.

Where is Randy when you need him, or some other super knowledgeable type?

JMHO, but I would think the best way to know if you need them or not is to dyno it. If you're running to thin, then it might be time for injectors. But if you're running normal, or too rich, then maybe no?

yes Minitor, put them on, i just double checked the mods you have, you are getting MTH as well, it will be fine, and when you come to Autin, you and I can upgrade to 19% and beat the hell out of our scs . My car has 380ccs and running smoother than pre380ccs times with the pulley. Extra power, no.

Running smoother but no extra power...hmmmm. I wonder how much my shop will be charging for install, do you know how long it takes about?

if the car is cool, it should take under an hour. all you need to do is remove the intercooler, empty the pressure, take off the fuel rail, take off the old injectors, put on the new ones, making sure that the o rings are all good, and reinstall.

How do you empty the pressure? I have a set of the JCW injectors setting on the shelf waiting for time to do an install. Are there any how-to's out there for this mod?

I know this thread is old but I'll answer the previous question. There is a schrader valve on the right side of the fuel rail. Open up your gas door to vent pressure and release the pressure in the fuel rail. Keep some rags under to catch the gas that will more than likely leak out.

Its easy to do. Just like he said, just dont lose any of the clips that hold the injectors on.

well i don't know much just enough to get in trouble (a little knowledge can be a very dangerous thing).but from what i've read on this and other sites;you need to be pushin' about 240 h.p. to need bigger injectors. i doubt you're there yet so save the dough.
