BFP Intake... anyone?

I'm looking at buying the BFP intake, probably stage 2, maybe 3. My only concern is, what keeps the Mini scoop ( http://www.benferperformance.com/images/MINI/intakeweb/images/m14.jpg ) from allowing water in the intake?

Hey there! I have the Stage three...it's awsome! to answer your question...the water would never reach the intake unless it was a large volume...like if you shoved a hose in there...so if you are driving in a rain storm and it's Raining and the road is flooded to three feet...I'd say it could be a problem...LOL...buuuut other than that you'll be fine...

Stages

Stage 2 has the ram-air scoops, which is what I want, and stage three has that and the carbon fiber down pipe.
