Drivetrain Vacuum port location on MINI Cooper S intercooler
I am thinking about adding a mechanical Boost gauge, but I am unsure where the vacuum line is located for me to "tee" off from. Does anybody have any pictures for where the vacuum line is that is easy to get to? I have seen some pictures that has it underneathe the intercooler on the left side as you face the engine compartment. Has anyone done this to their MCS?

We hooked up a boost guage when doing dyno runs. It's just a T section you tap right where you said: left side of intercooler, under the duct from supercharger to intercooler. It makes sense if you have the boost guage in front of you so you can see what needs to go where.

when I plumbed my boost gauge, i removed the intercooler and the rubber boots to access the manifold- to-fuel regulator hose; you cut the hose near the manifold, insert a tee, and attach your vac line. a very hard place to get to, but a needle nose plier and a beer were useful. this was covered on mini2 racing forum (got boost?) last fall; i think the panel light wire is yellow with white, but you should look for the other post to be sure.
