the 05 is rated 10 CHP higher than the 02-04...PLUS has shorter gearing...so it is infact "stronger"...however, once in boost...boosted cars LOVE long gears ...all of my dyno sheets show the HP just keeps going till red line

ECU Mod Must Have Done It
I still think the power/torque curves are the results of the customized EvoTech ECU software installed by Dyno-Comp...

Actually, if you look at your before chart, you torque was exceptionally high in relationship to horsepower, so I think it is most likely a dynoism more than the ECU tune.

Nice job!

awesome dyno results
Bear with me as I never dyno'ed before but wondering:

Is the hood closed during dyno'ing? Do folks with Alta or Rouge (if the hood is open) cover the top of the air filter to simulate the hood being closed, or is it open, with a fan blowing air directly on the open air filter element?

I wonder because I want to compare air filters (jcw and rouge) on a dyno, same engine. That made me think one couldn't dyno compare jcw/rouge/alta with the hood up as no one drives with the hood open, and the jcw doesn't get the fan blowing air directly into the opening on the back of that filter.... the only apple to apple comparison I could figure was to fabricate a steel top piece to place on top of the rouge/alta intake. Is this even an issue??

i would think so since ur comparing a fiter box to a open air intake!! NOT really the same thing.
but im sure someone on here will know better....

Dyno tests are customarily done with the hood up and auxiliary shop fans placed in front of the car to aid cooling. I would think you could do a test as you have proposed with the hood closed.

What gear did you do the dyno pull in?

I think it must have been 4th gear. The dyno operator was in the car, not I. Does that make sense?

exactly where a dyno operater should be, at time of testing...makes perfect sence to me.

You guys aren't aware of this... but this dyno at dyno comp... is notorious for reading low... I don't remember what kind of dyno it is... but it is a very very nice all wheel drive dyno with load variation. Many cars in town have dynoed at dyno comp and taken their car else were shortly their after and have always made more power on the other dynos... its wierd... i know every brand and type of dyno and even from dyno to dyno their can be a varation but this one always always seems to be lower then everyone elses... anyways... just thought you should know!
