Water Spray Nozzle?

Does anyone know where i can get a water spray nozzle like the one that is included on the Alta Air Diverter? Or anything that is similar to what they inlcude? I have an idea for a great water spray kit and the nozzle that they inlcude looks perfect for what i need. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Don't know where to get the equipment, but I've been exceedingly interested in this idea. I have the GRS IC.

Wonder if it's possible to do with different ICs, such as stock, Alta, GRS?

It's been hot and humid here in Atlanta. Guess that's why folks call it Hotlanta!

Why not just call up Alta and order one? Their design is very specific with a flat fan pattern. Mcmaster has mister but are all radial pattern.

You could use a nitrous spray bar like the one in this pic.
Don't know if it would work well, just tossing it out as an idea.

No they're not. They have flat fan and deflected flat fan as well.

Maybe it's just a DIY urge he has. We all get them.

Personally, I have no time nor any inclination for DIY.

I would be interested in buying such a system.

It SHOULD make a big difference, especially in reduction of heat soaking, even with the bonnet open between auto-x runs. And to be able to hit it one more time as I'm waiting for the green flag, now that would be cool (literally)!

obehave has it right, I am a DIY self kind of guy and love making things. It makes me feel like i have achieved something great. Besides i can taylor it all to how i want it. Ill have to give Alta a call and see if they can sell me just the nozzle if at all possible. I am going to mount it on the lip of the scoop on the inside portion of the scoop. Have the tank in the boot and a switch mounted with the other toggle switches.

Has anyone used these types of nozzles "deflected flat fan"? what is the flow on these nozzles? Are they a fine mist or more of a spray type? That is exactly what i am looking for in design. I need an angled fogger type nozzle to allow me to mount it on the lip of the inside hood scoop before the intercooler.

I was going to order a few things from Mcmaster to make an IC sprayer, with storage tank in the rear. With my horns disco'd, and in a box, the plan has been to have the horn buttons activate the sprayer. And with a delayed off circuit installed, water would be sprayed for 3 seconds (sounds good) whenever activated...

I've just installed the Alta Big Air IC with the sprayer and diverter. The fan spray is great as it puts the spray out over the entie IC surface. But, when you think about it, if it is an extreamly hot day and the IC is heat soaked, how long can the benefit be? The water will virtually evaporate on contact. Great idea, but I wonder. I've used the spray, can't say as I have noticed any change in performance.

04 MCS, sport pkg, 15% pulley, Milltec, Alta CAI, Alta IC, densos, Unichip.

Good project!!! i love DIY too but I was too lazy or should I say no time to complete a nice sprayer system but I did a simple one on stock IC. I have few nozzles but this nozzle spray the finest mist since im using the wiper motor and the stock tank... I think it helps a lil bit but the back wiper will move everytime I spray the IC, I hate it!! Irritating !

My simple sprayer....

I have the Alta TMIC with the sprayer but the OEM bottle runs out too fast I'm installing a 3.5 gallon tank in the rear for the internal water/alky injection and tap into that for the top sprayer too. Should last a year or so  ya, I know...my Mini needs to go on a diet

With this nozzle, the water from the OEM bottle can last since it sprays fine mist.... I had 3 nozzles previously but they seems to spray water and run out fast! I cant have another bottle at the rear, I need the space........

Thats exactly what you want.... The evaporation takes the heat with it.

I installed the Alta Diverter and you do have to disconnect the rear wiper motor but be careful and don't drop the rear lid cover on your bumper and scratch it like i did mine.. That thing is spring clip loaded and will jump out of there if you aren't careful... Also remove the windshield de-icer from your reservoir for summer use...

I'll have to give alta a call and ask them if they can sell me just that nozzle piece. Do you think that would be the best bet or should i order something from mcmaster? Not sure if the deflected flat fan nozzle will spray to much water or if it will spray a nice mist like spray. Does anyone have any good ideas for the tank and pump?

Guys,

I want to build/add a water sprayer to my IC and went to McMaster but that just confused me even more for they have so many nozzles.

Can anyone recommend one that they purchased?

I'm assumng I want

FLAT pattern
misting and fogging
what pressure?

I plan on hooking up to rear washer.

would appreciate any guidance or alternative place to purchase.
