263 WHP!!! No turbo!

Woohoo! Here is what my MINI turned today on the rollers. The A/F was way fat so there is atleast 10-15 HP to be found. Was so fat it blew smoke out the exhaust.

263 Wheel HP = 295 Crank HP

I'm not a dyno guru, so I'm not sure what you mean. This is the only chart I have.

Why the yo-yo bounce between 4100 & 4800?

I had just connected and turned on the bottle. I think there was some air in the system.

Air in the system? You didn't purge? Do me a favor and video your next runs, it might be interesting

Wow I figured there would be more interest in this. I guess alot of people disapprove of using the bottle.

What is the highest dyno number anyone has seen from a non twincharged, stock supercharged car?

I just met someone at our most recent meet who has a 243 whp supercharged [stock SC] mini without juice. He only drives it on the track. 19% pulley, revving to 8500 rpm . 198 ft-lbs torque.

Umm.... On what track? I go through belts like an H2 goes through gas. After 10-15 runs down the drag strip with the 19% I have a very stretched belt.

Also how many superchargers has he gone through?

Well considering what you have:
GIAC, JCW injectors, Alta TMIC, 19%+4% crank, Megan header, Alta CAI, NRP exhaust

and with out the 75 shot you there for have 188 WHP...well that's what I am running...with only a 17% reduction, cat back and CAI

So when I saw your post tittle...it is deciving...I thought you made the HP with the motor...A 75 shot is extra...so maybe people are just disappointed...I know I was...now if you were making 263 WHP and then added a 75 shot...that would be HIGH larious...338...LOL...aww yeah!!

Don't get me wrong..it's great...but the HP is only there if you are "armed" and ready...VS if you did every mod possible...and got up to 260 that way...which I believe is possible with out twincharging...

I would love to know more about this car. Can you get more info on the mods?

Also the next question is what is the goal for your power?

1) street king
2) track
3) auto X
4) just because
5) drag racing
6) canyon Mt. domination

I can get plenty more info, I'm pretty sure I can even get you his info if you wish.

Here's a tease:
1) he has a shop, and a guy there has hacked the ECU to hell, broken it, fixed it, etc. til he basically knows which parameters do what. he did move the redline to 8500 . he did custom tune the thing.
2) he is running almost everything aftermarket; he wishes explicitly to see what it will take to blow his engine, cause he intends to scrap it and TC an elise next. he is running ported head, SC, intake track, runners, full Hamann exhaust, etc.
3) he has had neither to replace an SC (!!!) nor to replace any internals. he did replace a power steering pump, under warranty .
4) he has good relationships with many guys in the business, including George at Mini Madness.
5) when he was 'given' the 19% pulley he runs, he was told not to track it. he now runs about every week. 19k miles and still strong .
6) his post-intercooler intake temps are like 250 degrees (!!!!) with STOCK intercooler. [he tried the ALTA one and was pretty peeved to see no difference. he went back to the stock one.]
7) he swears that his oil cooler is keeping his engine from failure. he says he sees 20 lbs on his gauge without the cooler, 28 with.
8) he has a rep as being a killer track driver. he races the porsche owner's club events at Homestead Motor Speedway, near Miami.
9) he is a maniac. but i kinda like it .

Ummm.... What? I don't think you have seen my dyno charts without nitrous. They are on the 19%+4% thread.

Also when I installed my nitrous kit, was not the venom, I didn't have a way to regulate the fuel pressure. I had not installed a nitrous system before and was not aware that the fuel line had to be tapped after the fuel pressure regulator. So I have way too much fuel being mixed with the nitrous.

Now factor in also that the big bulky flow restricting nitrous nozzle and mounting pieces. I do believe I have a lot more power and torque than you assume.

well that's great!!! you made 203..kewl...I was just doing the math...75 minus 263...hmmn...I got 188...no biggie...

all that said and done...it has nothing to do with the responce I gave you...you seemed suprised that this thread was not getting more attention...I was just trying to be nice and say why it might be...

IMO anyone can stick a bottle on a car....it's instant...but to formulate...or rather understand engines well enough to make the power with out just forcing it...that has more clout...

Again...I think it's kewl...and so you know I am not meaning to be a jerk or anything...I would have LOVED to have a bottle today...when I came up on 20...YES 20 Vets...obviously a club...Some vets I can keep up with some pull on...all I wanted today was to run away from them like they were parked...and a little N20 would have been just right..

ingsoc,
This guys sounds very interesting, maybe not the smartest with the 250 post IC! 8500RPM with a 22200 SC redline, is a little hairy.

6) Ya, give me a break! Did you see spillmans temp differences?
Obviously he doesn't know what knock sounds like.

I like NoS, but it always makes my voice sound funny.

I approve, not that you need my approval. Be safe! Fast and Furious was a movie...
