Ags Help Fast!!!

OK so i wake up this morning and my ags has came in. SO me and my buddy decide to go for it and put it on tonight. Instal goes fine. The directions on Peters site were perfect. I did have to grind on a small part of the bell housing near a bolt to get it to line up right. I kept having a leak and i finally put RTV on it and it stoped. So i let it sit for 45 mins to and hour while cleaning up then took it on a small test drive. Well I came back and it was still throwing a code so i poped the hood to try to rest set the ECU and the head pipe was glowing . Does anybody have an idea of why this is happening. I have only Exhaust and the AGS on the car no pully. And i also noticed that it developed a small leak again so now i am tearing it back apart to fix the leak again and to let it sit over nite this time. But I really want to find out why this thing ran so lean to cause the head pipe to glow like that. So if any AGS owners can chime in or anybody that has a fix or solution please let me know.

Thanks,
Matt

Sorry to hear about your problems there . My header glows at night which caused me concern until i remembered my boat did the same thing. Give peter a call in the morning and he can help you out . 1/562/712/3270

Also, arent you supposed to allow the RTV to cure for 24 hours? I thought i read something by Peter to that effect. That might explain why the leak developed again...

By tuesday we will have consulted with Permatex for the perfect RTV material and will include this info with the package as a extra measure of safety.

How have you determined this? Do you have a wideband hooked up to the car?

Make sure that any RTV-type sealant used anywhere on the intake tract is suitable for use around O2 sensors. Some sealants can contaminate the sensors if vapors get pulled through the engine and passed through to the exhaust.
