Thanks for updating the thread guys.

I have upped the staff - we have a full time office manager who is in the office from 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. His name is Felix, and he was in the engineering business for 20 years or so before coming here. I'm sure some of you have talked with him. He has an '05 MCS.

I also have Brian on staff, who is very straightforward and is currently attending college here in Denver for industrial design. Sharp guy who also has a MINI.

Finally, we have James who is on sebatical for soccer season. He is great on the phone and extremely helpful with customers. He has an all black MCS. James returns in the next month.

We have also updated the website to provide online ordering.

With all of these changes, there were certainly some bugs to work out, but we have revamped the entire business. There is a very organized shipping and processing method. Most orders are processed the same day - even if I am out of town.

To work out the bumps in all of these changes, I took the entire month of September and remained in the office to train and help develop our new infrastructure. It is now in place!

Remember that while I started as a one man show, and provided (or tried to provide) way too many things for one person, the customer service that my clients were receiving was certainly unacceptable. That will no longer be the case - if you have a bad experience, please call me and I will make it right.

Some of you out there have been contacted either by PM, email or the phone to address concerns that you had with previous experiences - I am fully dedicated to making sure that all of my customers are happy not only with the product they receive, but the entire experience of using Webb Motorsports.

I certainly hope that helps clear things up - I am a proud supporter of the MINI community - and I hope that shows with the level of dedication we have shown to previous events, the websites, and the hours on end we spend every day answering questions folks have about performance for the MINI.

Again, please let me know if anyone has any outstanding concerns or input on our company. Try the new Webb Motorsports - same great technical support and warranty - customer service on par or better than anyone else in the MINI industry.

Thanks!

Randy, good update on events at your shop! I have one question about your warranty - does it apply only if your shop has installed the parts? MiniMania has a similar warranty but they only require that the parts be installed by a MiniMania-affiliated certified shop or a MINI dealer.

That is the way ours works too - I am in the process of setting up the dealership network right now. Where are you?

That (the dealership network) is a good idea - if there are any problems, the consumer has someone local to go to for resolution. Also, the warranty concept is a great way to overcome the risk of warranty denial by MINI/BMW. Offering the best of breed of aftermarket parts along with a warranty solution that addresses the risk of denial of factory warranty should fuel further growth of your business.

S.F. Peninsula. MINI of Mountain View is the closest MINI dealer.

caminifan,

We already have a dealr in the Bay Area - Bay Bridge Motors. They do great work and have hosted three pulley parties.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks,
Randy

If memory serves, Bay Bridge Motors is in Oakland/Berkeley, which is a bit farther to drive (especially if I am going to be dropping off my car for about a week) than MINI of Mountain View. However, if MINI delays on the JCW kit for the MCSa much longer, my patience may be overwhelmed by my desire to mod. Is your Stage 3 Cooper S Performance Package compatible with the 91 octane pisswater that passes for Premium in California? By compatible, I mean does it not go into timing retard and fuel dump because of pinging? The JCW package seems to have an intermediate timing map for the 91 octane pisswater that still enables the JCW kit to produce 210-ish hp. Anything like that for your Stage 3 kit? Or, do I have to bite the bullet and blend in 100 octane unleaded to get to 93-95 octane?

While I'd like to start taking questions outside of a forum talking about a bad experience with Webb Motorsports, I do want to answer these questions.

Marcel - your package went out today!

caminifan,

Our kit is compatible with 91 octane, several hundred customers are running around California with similar packages. We have different ECU maps for your wonderful fuel.

I am thinking about organizing a pulley party in OAK through Bay Bridge around Halloween.

Hope that helps!
Randy

oops - I was logged in on Brian's computer here in the shop, sorry for the confusion!
