Manifold Gasket????

Hey guys just wanted to see if anybody has re-used the inlet manifold gasket? I have my Manifold off in the process of changing the supercharger and was curious as to whether the gasket can be re-used. Its not your normal gasket paper type material but more a metal type.

Any help would be appreciated I dont want to have, to do the job twice, but if its ok it will save me some hassles as the nearest dealer is a couple of hours away.

Thanks John.

I did 45K ago. Also the gskt from supercharger to intercooler snorkel. Its not soft like a copper gskt. Be more concerned that you don't ding an edge of the intake manifold where they mate.

Thanks guys, I'm sure the manuel will say to replace, but by looking at it, it seems it would still seal. Was just hoping someone had done it before I try.

Changing those boggers are a must.....

When you bolt the manifold to the head, gasket does compress and give,
allowing the four surfaces to mate properly.
Re-using the old gasket could possibly seal, but you never know, so do your self a favour, get a new gasket (real inexpensive)......and peace of mind

Oooops .

I had to unexpectedly remove my manifold... to, uhm, retrieve a tiny part that fell down into the intake runner, past the slightly open intake valves and into the cylinder.

Got the part out, but I just bolted the manifold back on and tq to spec.

Prolly ought to change that soon.

Sounds like the exact same thing that happened to me. I was looking around for information on how to remove it when I came across this post. Were you working on plug wires too?
