He wrapped up the project car Saturday night about 8 pm in Colorado. Considering how long he's been away from home, it wouldn't surprise me if he took today off, but of course, I don't know.

I ordered an air intake and a sway bar nearly a month ago, on July 6th. The sway bar came in about two weeks, but no sign of the air intake yet. I e-mailed WMS last Friday, again on Monday, and left a phone message on Tuesday, all with exactly zero response. I don't care how busy he is, this is no way to run a business. You can't just leave people completely in the dark for weeks on end. I will never order from WMS again. How hard is it to at least post an FYI on the website if you're going to skip town for a week? I shouldn't have to go screw around on his forums to figure out if he's travelling or not.

I appreciate the info, but this is still total BS that I have go to these lengths to get it. If I want to know how long I should expect to be stonewalled, I have to go read his web forums? No thanks.

You got what you wish, at least they posted it....... just be patient. I had the same experience but I couldn't do anything about it.

Cool it man... at least there is something rather than nothing. Why dont you just chill out and make this as your last purchase . You are not the only one here experiencing this...

Randy just left the Bay Area.

I've called him several times this weekend and was able to talk with him.

I don't envy the amount of phone calls and e-mails he has to answer when he gets back. I know I have to place a call...

Sounds to me like Randy needs an office manager/gal friday to keep things moving along when he's out of town or even when he is back home so he can concetrate on the automotive side of the business. The problem he is facing is very typical of a business this size. His biggest problem though will be to recognize it and do something about it

You have every right to be ticked off! Anything that this place offers can be had elsewhere. That's what I have done being that the door was shut on me long ago.

No, if you're that upset, cancel the order and place it elsewhere. I do think that people should be made well aware that no orders are being processed BEFORE being allowed to place an order.

BTW, this thread has no business in the Performance forum...

It's the best thing to do but i'm just afraid he has already sent the intake together with the sway bar but it went elsewhere. chrisnl, try calling him again.. you might be lucky. I know how it feels...trust me.

i've bought much of my goodies from Randy and have experienced some of the difficult to reach issues and a few mishaps. Each issue was handled well & i'm completly satisfied. The charge never shows up until long after the product is received. I'm in Hawaii -when i need something by a specific deadline i tell him when ordering & he's always been straight if he can meet it or not.
It certainly would be better if he was easier to get ahold of. When you do reach him he'll spend as much time as needed fully explaining everything, even talking you out of buying his product.
I placed call to Randy this weekend and the phone was answered. I could hear the wind blowing in the receiver and noise in background and knew that he wasn't in the shop. He was in S.F. doing installs yet the call was answered.

Randy was at MMW and the subsequent pulley party between July 27 and August 3 - returning home as we speak.

Friday was a "normal" 14 hour pulley-athon. On Saturday, he installed pullies, sway bars, brakes etc. from 7 in the morning to 8 in the morning on Sunday. During that stretch, he answered his phone whenever he could. On Sunday, he took part in the MMW autocross, performed more mods and answered more calls.

From Monday night to Tuesday afternoon, he pulled another stretch of almost constant mod work, pausing briefly to sleep and return as many calls as he could. You literally cannot believe the number of calls he gets a day. That damn phone is ringing almost non-stop.

Chrisnl: If you're not satisfied, I agree with JeffS - cancel your order and get it from another vendor. Unfortuantely, I don't know anyone else in this community who gives as much time to his customers as does Randy.

You may get your parts faster from another Vendor, but I doubt you will get the support. As bgrpph stated, when you do talk to Randy, you will get 100% of his attention to your issue. For that I am willing to wait on parts while he attends to his other equally important customers.

Respectfully, Sorry, this is just NOT true. I know of at least FOUR other vendors here that will give up ton's of time on the phone. Not taking anything from Webb here, but this is not a fair statement. I would suggest to any here who have not already done so to start calling these other vendors and hear what they have to say.

Greg, I can't argue with your experiences with other Vendors. I should amend my statement to include that my observation are made from my personal experiences.

Unfortunately I've done business with several others and have come away with varying degrees of satisfaction. The personal service I have received from WMS has extended past phone calls. I have had occasion to witness the lengths he will go to maintain my continued business. It's been truly extraordinary. That's why I will put up with the occasional late shipment or missed call.

Still no response to my e-mails or voicemails. Left another voicemail this morning. I'll be disputing the charges with my credit card company if I don't hear back from him today.
