Drivetrain High boost
High boost
I have a 2006 r53 and recently had 15% pully, RMW header and milltek exhaust installed. Did a track weekend and every time I went out and was at wot my dsc light would come on. The last time out the dsc came on and the engine light came on. The code was po108( absolute manifold pressure high). I thought that it was my tmap sensor and I replaced it.
Some how after the pulley, header and exhaust I’m hitting 17-18lbs of boost. after I changed the tmap Sensor I took my car out on the hwy at 6am when almost no one was on the road and took it up to 130 mph for about 2 miles and no lights came on but I’m still hitting 17-18 lbs of boost at wot. It was my understanding that I shouldn’t get more then 15lbs boost with a 15%pulley. Does any have any idea why my boost is so high?

FWIW, on my previous 2005 R53, I had the same 15% pulley, a comparable header and MILLTEK exhaust and, like you, consistently ran 17 psi+/-1 at WOT, depending on outside temps. Don't question it...just enjoy it!
