In my 05 MCS, I installed an AEM meth kit. I mounted the pump under the tank where the oem muffler used to be. Regarding the sprayer, originally wanted to install a 90 degree elbow to hide the nozzle under the plastic diverter but the elbow messes up the atomization.
I want to install a meth kit again on my 06, but be really stealthy this time. I’ve seem pictures where they installed the pump behind the taillight, next to the abs pump, and even saw one install it behind the fog light.
I’m also hoping to get more ideas on installing the sprayer on the other side of where i had it in the pic below and have the line be hidden under the intercooler, whee the injectors are. Would that be a bad idea? Might I melt the line with the intercooler? Or pehaps run the line infront of the IC and have the sprayer hidden still? Or is a stealth/hidden sprayer not possible? I haven't seen anyone share something like this.
Can you post pics of your stealth install? Both for the sprayer and the pump? I plan to use the 1.15 AEM gallon for track days. The washer tank is not enough for a session. I would really love to see different set ups. All suggestions are appreciated.
I am also very interested. Dad put down the idea of a third R53 for a track car so the days will be getting some more performance mods. I have heard if you have the light washer tank, people have used that as a meth tank. They used the pump and just routed some new lines to where you want the meth to go. This is hidden in the fender so its not really visible and looks light on the light washer tank from the top. I have not done this but this one is very hidden and looks factory if you have the washers. Just read the rest of the post and saw that it was not enough for track days. MY BAD.
