Aquamist/Meth Kit Install?

When you guys installed your Aquamist or Meth System, who did your install? Did you do it yourself? Or did a particular shop do it? I just don't feel comfortable drilling unless it really isn't that hard to tap. Was it particularly difficult to install or fairly straight forward?

Thanks!

Where does it say you have to drill? I've done this install 4 times already and I've gotten the install down to 6hrs. Good luck. It's not as hard as you think, but it takes patience and a lot of crawling around under the car and under the hood. Good luck.

I see. Doesn't look particularly hard just time consuming. Don't you have to drill to tap the nozzles through to spray or something?

Ahha....you're right about that. You have to drill a hole into the pipe to apply the spray inlet. I forgot since I'm just exhausted these last few days.

Anyways, if you get the proper bit that's in the guide, drilling the hole is the easy part. Just be sure to make the thread nice and slow when you're drilling it in. The first time took me a day and a half. But I'm sure you can finish it in less than that.

HELP!!!! I just got this email from the shop working on my HFS-4 install.

Eric

Need info for...
Low or high impedance Injectors?
Resistor box location & wires to solder to if low impedance

I have a 2012 countryman S, so I have direct injection which means I have low impedance injectors right?
If so the instructions say to locate resistor box.....where is this at? Also if it's low impedance I have to tap into every injector?!

Did you buy a universal HFS-4 or MINI Specific?

If the MINI Specific kit, the directions have a map on which ECU wires to tap during the install.

I bought the kit from Aquamist-direct, so it's not mini specific. I tried to email Jeff from howerton engineering but, he won't help me since I didn't buy it from him. I'm searching the internet trying to get the mini specific installation instructions, but not having luck so far.

You need to check the control board to make sure that the proper links are soldered or unsoldered.
