Custom 3d Printed Hood Scoop

Hi all, does anyone have a 3d model of an r53 hood scoop or the dimensions of one?
I am trying to make a custom one and 3d model and print it as all the ones available either don't quite fit my taste or are ridiculously expensive in my opinion. Also I can 3d print things for free at my college so I figured why not. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated and I would be more than happy to share the file once I finish it so anybody could use it.
Just a side note I will probably be printing it and parts and then gluing it together and then sanding and painting it. If no one has anything or gets back to me in a few days I might end up pulling my hood scoop and measuring it manually.

I mainly just need the dimensions of the base as I could model the rest without much information to work off of.

I will update this as I work on it.

If you need another scoop, cover shipping and you can have one of mine.

I am also interested in your project. I like the Atomspeed option better than the Leap, but they're unavailable (and still $200).

Thanks I appreciate that I have my hood scoop pulled off now and I'm trying to 3D scan it and stuff and I hear you on that That's a nicer looking hood scoop and something along the lines what I'm going to try to design.

Can you print in a material heat resistant enough for this application?

I only have experience with the fake scoop on an R56 but try to figure out a way to get a feel for the max heat it will need to endure and ensure your printed material will hold up at those temps.

Hmm I will have to look into that but I would imagine so I will ask about that next time I'm at the lab.

There are high-temp 3d filaments that would fit your application.

Hello, I'm interested in making a custom hood scoop for my mini too. Were you able to get the 3d scanning done, if so do you think you could share it with me? Thanks!
