I scored a set of low millage Deka Siemens 380cc injectors from a salvaged Mini. Got them cheap ($30 + $28 refresh kit = O rings and filters). Cleaned/flushed inside, back-flushed, new filters, tested = Working beautifully!
I plan on installing them soon. I have a few minor mods : 15% SC pulley, modified stock CAI box w/ 2¼" piping, K&N cone filter, NGK wires + colder plugs.
Question: Will the colder plugs be fine in concert with the 380s'?
Thanks

all late lol… but yes colder plugs are best to run when running a smaller pulley, basically you run the stock JCW plugs which are BKR7EQUP I believe
Just a heads up: when using the adaptors you'll eventually get a misfire. When that happens simply remove the adaptors and hit them (and your injectors pins) with some electrical contact cleaner and reinstall. Also, ensure that your wire clips on your injectors are fully installed.
I just replaced my leaky injectors on my 05 MCS. They were the original OEM 330cc injectors. They leaked when the car was off and the idle at cold was a little rough. Thanks for all the great information on this post. I was going to change the connectors and then I came across the last couple of posts talking about the Bosch injectors with using the original connectors.
I ordered the Bosch 62431 386cc injectors. The manufacturing numbers are: 62431 and 0280156063. The SKU number is BOS-0280156063. The Audi OE number is 06A906031BC. These numbers are all the same injector. These injectors cross reference with the 2003-06 Audi TT 1.8L. I ended up getting them from Rockauto.com because they were in stock and I could express them next day. They were $43 per injector. I needed the mini back up so I jumped on those.
The whole installation went very well and the seals worked just fine. The car starts much better now and I have no issues. Very happy with these injectors.
Old 330cc injectors and the new Bosch 386cc injector. All lubed up and ready to install. Installed.

Hey sierramini; or anyone else that has used the Audi TT injectors stated above: Did you use the seals that came with the Audi injectors or were new injector seals from MINI used?
Tx in advance.
I believe you'll notice that new Mini o-rings are slightly larger than the o-rings that come on the Audi Bosch injectors. It's cheap to replace them with original Minis to ensure a perfect seal (I did). Also, consider getting plumber's o-ring silicone (Lowe's, Home Depot) to lube the o-rings. Petroleum-based lubricants can degrade the rubber over time.

I’m pretty sure I just installed the injectors as they came out of the box just because I was in a hurry that day and didn’t even think to swap the O-rings. It has been about 3 months and my car has been running great!
I'm probably over-thinking this job, but what do people recommend for lubing the o-rings? Also, it's the same o-ring for both sides of the injector, right?
Run down to either Home Depot or Lowe's and grab a silicone-based lubricant (in the Plumbing Dept.) specifically for faucet o-rings. Petroleum-based lubricants can compromise rubber.

Yes. I just verified that with two MINI Dealers, also with Pelican Parts website: both top and bottom o-rings are the same.
I was looking at another site that were asking $500 USD for a set of 380cc injectors - & I was going to go with them because the other performance parts site that also had them in stock were wanting $630 o_0
$280 in my money is like a quarter of what I was looking at paying . . . . . .
Did any of you really struggle to get your original injectors off? What a pain.
Yes, removing the fuel rail and injectors can be a hassle. That's fairly normal. I've used pry tools before to help but must be very careful to not damage it.

The rail itself was relatively straightforward, for me at least. It was the injectors themselves that gave me the most trouble. I remember getting them off and wondering if I damaged the manifold. I suppose at 160k miles, I shouldn't expect anything to come off easily. At any rate, looked back and paid $131 shipped for 4x 380cc Bosch/Audi Injectors from Rock Auto.
This thread has aged like fine wine. Just jumped on to share my appreciation for all the information given. As a new R52 S owner I THANK YOU.
The Rockauto injector find, the info of using OEM O rings and plumbers O-ring silicone has been the best source of info I have found. The more I browse this forum the more appreciation I have.
I am running the Bosch 380's from an Audi TT myself, because of this thread. I ran them for a month, no issues, without a tune. Car runs great now that i had Adrian tune it for everything. As for the o rings, they looked very similar to the OEM ones, but i went ahead and swapped the o rings over to OEM ones, i didn't want to chance it and they were cheap enough.
