Yep I'm running three in series and am getting 220 hp now. Not bad for 30 bucks (had to pay shipping)

This is a scam, bh. You're supposed to cut your temp sensor wire & splice in the $8 resistor (a 9 cent value!). This is supposed to make the computer think that the engine's cold all the time. When it's cold, the tuning parameters are somewhat different & supposedly the engine makes more power.
I predict your gains will be less than advertised, and that you'll see the "SES" light in the near future.
Just my opinion - I could be wrong..
Best - Bodinski.

yea, screwing with your sensors is basically never a good idea.

Save the ECU mods to the experts!

I emailed the guy and he stats that you cannot run this on Turbos, superchargers or diesel. Just thought that I would throw in this comment before someone buys it for their MCS.

Agreed that the ECU upgrade is the best bet. I think that I will just stick with bolt on mods though... for now...

Well before someone buys it for a Cooper, let me repeat...IT'S A SCAM! Plus you may very well screw up your ECU!

The difference between "screwing with" and knowing what you're doing can be vast. I too enjoyed the potential humorous irony of the statement, none the less

Thought i would show y'all what the deal said, I e-mailed him and asked for some proof

This is no scam, I have had one on my own car for two years, and it read a 12 HP gain on the dyno. If you deceide to buy one, follow the specifications below, and you can hook it up to a dyno machine with and without the mod, and chech for yourself. I sell alot of these and have never had acomplaint on this particular vehichle. However, you have no risk, it will not harm anything, and I offer a 100% money back promise that I stand behind. thank you for your questions.

This device attaches to the IAT sensor, working as a piggy back device to send a signal to your computer, telling the computer to increse the fuel air/air mix ratio, resulting in more HP, more torque, and more power.

As long as your vehichle meets the following requirements, it should work fine.

1.Must be fuel injected.

2.Must not be turbo, super charge,or diesel.

3.Your model must have a two wire IAT sensor (Intake Air Tempurature sensor) , for this device to work, because this is where the mod is installed. Please make sure your model has one of these. **How to find it: All vehichle's IAT sensor are in a different location so its almost impossable to know excatly where they all are, but here is the best way to find it on your engine, hope it helps you. Start at the air filter, and work your way back following the air intake system looking for the plug with only 2 wires, its probly on the intake manifold or the throdle body. If this does not help you out, you can take it by a dealership, or garadge and they and they should be able to show you where the IAT sensor is.

There is no fuel difference and if there is it wont be enough to notice. Ive had one on my car for 2 years now and i have not noticed a difference at all. And it read a 12 HP gian on the Dyno test.

Note: 2003 Chevy Avalanche does not have an IAT sensor. Will not work on this model.

Note: 2000 Ford Excursion, V10 model does not have an IAT sensor. Will not work on this model.

Note: No IAT sensor on the Mazda 323/626/929 until the year 1993. Will not work on this model.

Note: 1998 Subaru does not have an IAT sensor. Will not work on this model.

never ever use ebay as a guide to modding your car. If you haven't seen it anywhere else on the web, then it's probably not a good idea.

Just remember that OBD2 checks not only “Good” or “Bad” but rationality as well. It is NOT rational for the air charge temperature to remain always constant. This will at some point turn on the MIL.

Why would making your car run rich give you more HP? The Cooper needs more AIR, it is already too rich at WOT.

But then, what do I know?

Also keep in mind that this idiot says it works fine on the MINI Cooper S but don't use it on a supercharged car!
