I don't think shortening the plugs will do much of a difference at this level of boost. I might be wrong though, we will see later when the new clutch is installed and boost gets turned up a bit.

I'm using BMW plugs SILZKGR8C8S. Original to the i8 among other things. Gap is all set for that application, which as I understand is similar in boost and power to a tuned F56.

Why the lower numbers on your stage 2? Above you are pushing 285hp and 325tq, both look to be mustang dynos. You posted a stage 1 with similar numbers above, again both appear to be a mustang dyno.

Every dyno reads differently and no two cars are built the same (Wed motor vs Sunday motor). Also external variables such as heat, humidity, elevation, gas type (also gas station). This same car on another MD dyno in Detroit was only pushing 200WHP - that's why people shouldn't go around chasing HP's. This shows the importance of doing some "Before" and "after" mod pulls on the same dyno so you can see the true delta of the gains.

Our Stage2 tunes parameters are the same across the board (except for areas with lower grade 90 octane or 91 octane); it's up to the ECU and the car to produce the HP to the wheels. We are not afraid to show our dyno data (good, bad or ugly).

Very nice- liking that torque all the way to redline! Do you know how much boost is made at peak, and nearing redline? Must be pretty flat as well, no?

2015 F56 MCS B46 (Swapped a B48 motor into engine bay) Automatic Transmission
- Walnut blasted both intake and exhaust valves right before dyno day
- New engine oil, redline transmission oil
- Mods: MarioKart catless DP, Forge knock-off intercooler, and aluminum cold/hot side charged pipes
- Everything else stock

Appointment with folks at ByteTronik is easy to setup. These are some down-to-earth folks to work with. They keep things simple. After the tune, the trip back home (3-hours) is a blast! Car feels like it has lost tremendous weight after the tune, and it just pulls, pulls, and pulls. Easy to see my speedo go to 110 mph without realizing it - that's the best way to describe it. By the end of the trip home, "Green Mode" is the most refined driving mode to drive the car because the other two modes and their shift points are just beasts to work with. Can't believe I'm saying that.

This was done a while ago by Manic @ Lohen in the UK, 2015 MCS (Manual gearbox) mods are:

Helix ceramic paddle clutch
single mass / lighter flywheel
JCW pro exhaust
Miltek large bore down pipe
Miltek hi flow sports cat
forge intercooler
forge Intake hard pipe / boost pipe
Quaife LSD
Team Dynamics pro race wheels
JCW pro brake upgrade

after the tune bhp is at 315 and torque 488nm. Charge/boost pipes along with clutch were added after the tune and have improved things a lot.

I sure hope all these hot rods are running limited slip and wide sticky tires!

- Vehicle - 2018 JCW F56
- Modifications - Dinan Elite (dealer installed)
- Type of Dyno - Mustang chassis
- Gear Used - Don't recall
- Description of Graph - the picture is worth 1,000 words
- results - HP Stock, up 30 WHP to 255 - Torque stock 258 up 28 ft/lb to 286

Note: the car is still under full warranty! All work done by Mini of Peabody bless their hearts... ;-) This car was marginally driveable until I added 8" rims, 225 mm RE-71, and a Quaife. The torque curve is lovely for autocross.

Thanks to Bren Tuning for the dyno pulls

Cheers,

Charlie

F56 / F60 Tune for the MG1 is here!

Local MINI owner came in to get a tune done on his 2020 F60 Countryman (100% OEM). Power gains with Stage-1 Tune ONLY on 93 Octane pump gas.

Stock: 185 WHP | 208 WTQE
Tuned: 225 WHP | 252 WTQE
Gains: +40 WHP | +45 WTQE

Your ECU must be sent in to us for a bench flash, but we do NOT need to open the ECU!

I agree, with the intercooler upgrade you should be around 300bhp, perhaps you need a custom tune?

my tune is "custom" from Mario, but wasnt done on a dyno, he pulled the map then made the tune then flashed the car. I dynoed independently.

He says that the Auto Trans has limitations but I see people running a lot more power than me and I have the same or more mods, so I can't figure it out.

Car runs great, don't get me wrong, but underwhelmed at what inthought it should show in test conditions

I think with the auto box you are limited on torque, but you should still be able to get around 300 bhp.. maybe someone here more knowledgeable can help?

I have similar mods but a manual, and get 315bhp / 490nm.

apologies if i’m making this up but I’m sure I have seen people with auto boxes getting upto 300bhp. Unless it was with the JCW, maybe that has a different auto gearbox?

Ive always thought Sebastian's dyno read low.
You should try another dyno, but avoid the Mustang, thats a heartbreaker!!

Now, this makes sense to me. I know you're local to me - Any other dyno options out here you recommend?

Ive only used his dyno.
Seb uses Uprev to custom dyno tune my Nissan and Infiniti

An auto trans doesnt fully lock up, so there's slip loss at the torque converter.

Also you have no baseline (before) to compare on the same dyno. That tells you your gains.

All true, I am more looking at the max numbers though. Even if I baselined at 175whp, which seems to be the low average everyone gets - give or take a few hp - that still puts me up 64wHP over stock, which isn't bad at all. I just think there's more in the car even with an automatic being the limitation. I should be able to put down 275hp without hitting the torque limit, but I am also hearing that the pistons in the b48 are another weak spot, so I should probably do something to address that as well.
