Any objections or words of caution?

So I recently got a good deal on an NM heat shield and installed it tonight. Didn't take long at all.
I went with this one because I read that it did not encase the entire turbo. One thing I will say though is the directions that came with it said to tighten the studs down to 10 foot pounds of torque. I felt 10 foot pounds come and go and realize I was just starting to stretch the bolts so I stopped and checked them out, they were OK to proceed as long as I didn't whale down on them.

Does anyone have words or wisdom or caution from personal experience on this shield?

Thanks!!!! Pic below.

Thanks! That helps a bit. That was a different manufacturer that had the failure but I could see what may happen. Also (read the thread quick, out to dinner right now) it sounded like the guy was racing with it and had it on for close to a year.

Thanks again, I'll prob take it off in the morning and do some more research.

You are fine with that heat shield, the head is aluminum and those threads are M7 or M6 so torque is going to be a very tight tolerance, much like when you remove the valve cover.

That shield is fine, there is no reason to cover the compressor housing as it isn't the side that will see temperatures over 1200*.
