Clutch stop

Hello. I just got my first Mini 2 weeks ago and I'm really loving it. It also happens to be my first manual car, so I've been wanting to get a clutch stop to make shifting easier. Problem is that the BMS clutch stop says that it works with 2007+. Has anyone tried using it on a 1st gen? Or is there an alternative that works with 1st gen? I have a 2006 by the way

Never heard of a clutch stop before so I had to look it up.

Wouldn't work with on my 02 Mini since I have to push the pedal all the way to the floor for the car to start.
I guess there would be a way to modify where the safety switch hits but never had a reason too.

You'll get used to shifting in no time so I don't think getting one is at all necessary. But having never tried one maybe Im missing out on something.
