After many hurdles and road blocks, I have completed the first two F56 2.0L downpipes for retail. I had great success with the first two prototypes, a few months back. I gained 8whp and 37whp with just the DP. The flanges are Stainless Steel and tig welded to a to an expanded 3" 304 16G Stainless steel pipe. I flared the bottom, so it will match up perfect to and OEM exhaust. I'm offering them for $795 in a bare finish or $895 in an Extreme 2300F Black Ceramic Coating. I also made some adjustments to the 2nd bung, and so far after thousands of miles the test cars have not triggered an Engine CEL light. Please email me at MarioPalza@gmail.com if you have interested or have questions. BTW I would like to thank, CraigSix for being my first customer and for understanding the road blocks I have gone up against. Craigsix's DP along with and another DP is at the Ceramic Coater right now being prepared. He has been very patient through this process, but I know he will be happy once he has it in his hands. looking forward to hearing from everyone. Thank you Mario

I'm struggling to say something nice here. I see you've been trying and going through at least one revision, but:

*No braid on ID of flex. Ribbing causes tons of turbulence, so even with those dyno gains you're still leaving power on the table.
*The tube flare going into the flange looks rough and turbulent. Bad example of poor flaring?
*No catalytic converter was a deal-breaker in 2005, let alone 2015
*m^3 logo looks haphazard and is a pointless cost-adder
*speaking of cost, that price point is off in GT-R land for 2 straight pipes and 1 curve and a junk flex. Pretty much you're asking $650 for the flanges.
*Forget the "extreme" ceramic coating and do it right, read: Swain Tech White Lightning.

Ok, the flanges themselves look nice. I assume they're 304 or better, for that price.

Seriously, put a good quality ACAT EPA cat on there (and hold the price) so people that don't want to smell like 1964 will buy one.

if you are struggling so much to say something nice, how about nothing at all?

He didn't put this as a Vendor Announcement, so it's open for debate. I'd rather see him build a better product than offer something that leaves so much for improvement.

Given your car has his products, I understand you're financially invested in defending him. Let's work past that. No companies products are above scrutineering.

Well, we will agree to disagree. I made a conscious choice, not to have a cat and neither of my cars or customer cars have a smell to them. To me, a DP should have a stock cat or nothing at all. There is no reason, to make a Race DP, and it not be a full race version. I refer to this as, "being a little bit pregnant" I respect your post, but I don't want to get into an Internet battle. My DP, is made of great quality, hand built in the USA, and best of all it fits perfectly. Having products that are not true bolt on, seems to be a virus in today's aftermarket world. when i add more boost and airflow even a hi flow converter will destroy a turbo after a lot of hard miles.

Isn't a cat required to pass CA Smog Test?

It looks like you have this all figured out. Let me know when your DP is ready for purchase.

Lol...since you're relatively new, Ryephile is anything but an armchair engineer. He's one of the original people modding MINI's from the first gen...when people doing performance mods actually knew what they were doing...he's one of the few of those left around here
