My engine light came on this morning on my 2013 Mini Cooper S Coupe. I checked the code , it came up P0100 .

I have an AFE intake(dry filter) and a JB+.
36,000mi , I'm reading that getting a can of cleaner for mass air flow sensor might help?

I know the JB+ is connected to the Mass air flow sensor - I hope that is not the problem.

 

check your connections. Use canned air on the conenctors if you have it. Likely something came loose. If it still keeps showing up, remove the JB+ and see if the code comes back.

 

Thank you for the quick reply! I drove to work with the light on. I stopped at a store on the way home , got in the car and started it - the engine light went off all by itself. I will still check the connections, and clean them. Maybe I'll still get the mass air flow sensor cleaner too.
