Help: Coldside Boost tube removal

Hi guys, I am trying to install the NM charge pipe into my GP2, but I am having a hard time removing the OEM coldside boost tube. I am able to remove the upper rubber part of the boost tube and loosen all the band clamps. Now, im trying to figure out how to yank out the bottom rubber part. It seems like it doesnt want to be removed. Its almost as if its glued to the manifold.
I noticed something else too; even though i loosened the band clamp on the bottom, the band clamp cannot be rotated. Is there still something clamping on to the hose?
Is it just pure brute force to pull the bottom part out? Or is there some trick to it?
Please help.

When I installed the Cravenspeed koala spacer I loosened the lower clamp and couldn't get it to rotate/budge either. Later in a different thread someone commented that they used a lot of spray lubricant to get it off.

Fought with mine for like half an hour. Finally said the heck with it and completely removed the intake manifold. It was like the thing was welded on.
