Helix shift kit / Magnaflow install

Just wanted to thank Eric (Helix) for the work he did Saturday. He installed my Magnaflow and the Helix shift kit. What a difference they make combined with the Alta CAI and 15% pulley. Not being from the east coast I had to go on reputation when I choose Helix and I was not dissappointed. Well worth the drive to get there. I know there are less expensive kits but its worth $$ to me to have an install from someone who develops there own product. Thanks again Eric.

Got the adjustable rear swaybar yet?

Akajoker,

Sounds like a winning combination and seriously loud exhaust.
I like magnaflow, I just don't want it for daily commuting.

Things to think about if you don't already have them-
Lightweight rims and tires, suspension upgrades.

I now agree with everyone that said it was loud. But only that it is loud for a car. I am accustomed to driving a 72 Ford Bronco with dual pipes and an open cab. So I actually find the magnaflow quiet. But regardless I can see dynamat in the near future. The tires/rims will be later this summer. As far as a rear sway bar probably wait till my 1st autocross before I spend the cash. Are Falcon Azenis Sports considered track or road(daily tires)?

they are considered road tires. they are borderline if you ask me. expect to get around 17,000 miles with them. they are very good tires, especially for the price.more info on ss kit. how do you like it? i was thinking of getting the same thing done except a different exhaust.

weaverpsu, the ss kit has made a definate enhancement to the overall feel of shifting. It feels solid/positive, as compared to stock. The Helix kit did not reduce the shifter height, which is one reason I choose it. The throw seems reduced as advertised, but I am more impressed with the solid shifting.

I just installed the Helix ss as well and I am loving it. Took Ian only a couple hours to do it. If you're not located close to Helix and you're even remotely mechanically inclined, the ss is definitely DIY-able.

Jerseygirl, after seeing Eric do the install it is definately a DIY. If I were back home on the west coast (san diego) I might have tried. Eric did however manage to complete both projects in way less than two hours.

DUH! I just plain forgot. Except for YoYo & Cold Start everything is fine here. Have thought about Unichip as my last power up-grade but, think I'll wait for V39 (Or What Ever It Will Be) to solve those two problems. Guess my next step will be 25mm rear bar, Kosie K-1s and some Yoko's

just cause i'm from the west coast don't mean i'm crazy. I have been on work assignment here in D.C. since January. Couldn't wait till i got back to do all my mods, so Randy(Webb) did a few and Eric(Helix) did some.

Yeah, the UNIChip seems like a good bet - but it ain't a cheapie! I've been saving for the ECU upgrade by doing the rest of my mods solo (Randy found the only window of opportunity with the pulley install). Sometimes I think I can hear a 19% pulley calling out to me from deep within the confines of ALTA's Oregon headquarters...but that's a long way off.

I have the same yo-yo as too many S owners - read about the V38 upgrade and seems like the pros don't really outweigh the cons. I can suffer at the hands of crummy cruise control for a while.

Did springs, swaybar, and control arms within the last few weeks. Satisfying so far - nothing has broken or rattled off yet!

So yeah, wheels and tires. Maybe a set of Kosei TSs in 15" and 205/50 Azenis...

Glad to see the Magnaflow finding a good home. Thanks again for the great transaction!

Andy, I definately would like to thank you for the Magnaflow, as I would have had to wait alot longer and collected more pennies if I had not bought it from you.

MartyR how long did that sway bar take you to install?

Under 2 hours - knowing what I know now, it would take an hour tops.
