Magnaflow install

Just did an install of a seasoned (used) Magnaflow and the tip's aren't exactly centered.
Has anyone had the occasion to make any adjustments to a Magnaflow to,
1. lower the tip's so the don't rub rear apron by using washers under hanger's.
2. centering tip's by bending hanger bar's.
Looking for experienced solutions/idea's
Thank's,............norm

You may have to bend the hangers slightly. The tips will need to protrude an inch or more to prevent rubbing.

While waiting on replies and having to drive everyday the Magnaflow clearanced itself by melting the rear apron a wee bit. Not a big deal I'll just replace the apron when I get time to work on it again. It has now settled in so I know what direction to tweak it in.
I can't understand people who say it's too loud, to me it sounds great. Drone, what drone?
