After cleaning the MAF and hard resetting the codes it has not come back but it usually takes a couple days to trip the CEL. We shall see. I had codes for Misfire, EGR, MAF and Cat.

OK I was told I am getting a custom stage 2 to allow my stock cat. I have everything but a DP. No meth and stock turbo. At first was getting a stage 2 locked to map B but Manic Tuner came back and said he requested a tune to allow a cat on stage 2 map C.

SO this could be sweet for those wanting to stay "legal" and get the most.

I'm curious as to what your exhaust gas temperature will be. If you have a way to monitor them (torque app or dashcommand) let us know.

That is one thing my Aero Turbine muffler did , it dropped temps almost 200F , and it's one of things they claim about the muffler which is designed to scavenge heat so that could be a valuable tool .

I'll do some before and after checks like I did when I installed the muffler, it sits were the 2nd cat and resonator was.

I just got mine hot as I could and 1384F was max and ambient is 97F .

Interesting, why hasn't anyone mentioned an Aero Turbine muffler before? MCS's have been around for over 10 years.

Not sure it would fit on a r56 , but clears on my r55 , designed for diesel turbos .

Has anyone with a Manic Tune experience rich condition only under WOT?
My A/F drops to 10.9 under WOT and cannot figure what it can be. Nick at Manic does not have an explanation. I was vent to atmosphere and thinking those gases were needed but still same issue. Its a 3+ with all the mods and not with meth. No vacuum or boost leaks. All sensors are new; WOT goes closed loop so only MAPs are calibrating fuel.

WOW is all I can say. I got the manic stage 1 , I have plenty of mods for stage 1 plus but manic said it was more for JCW.

SO to have an apples to apples test I ran DC on way to get tune, it's about 100F today, with JB+ I had a peak of 17# with holding of 16# and 238HP 232# TQ .

On drive home in map C I had sustained 20# boost with a peak of 22 273HP 322# TQ.

SO since I measured with same methods that says quite some gains, for sure can feel it.

I see 10.9 sometimes. This is using Dashcommand and it is the instantaneous minimum value reported (which doesn't really mean a whole lot). I'll try and log a run tomorrow and see what the sustained WOT value is in 3rd or 4th gear. I'm also running meth but the DME should be able to adjust for that.

My A/F drops to 10.9 immediately upon WOT.
I changed a few things but in the process of getting smog so CAT is on and last monitor finally ran tonight. I took like 150 mile for the O2 sensor to run. Not believing having A/C and defroster on made a diff I finally tried it with them on and.....the monitor ran right away.
BTW, the monitor ran while having a pending fault for fuel trim anyway. I read that it would not run but it did so that myth might be dispelled.

Here's my 3rd gear log (Manic 2+ Map A). Drops to ~11.4 and holds steady. The really low numbers that I see are not during WOT, they are during transient conditions and are meaningless.

Interesting. I hear 12.1 to 12.5 is desireable for WOT is your tune designed for meth?
Does the power seem to flatten under WOT or does it still pull strong and linear under WOT.
With mine, I feel a drop in power and that overly "rich" sensation under WOT and therefore resist "flooring" it for best performance.
It would be nice to get Nick from Manic to chime in here. I feel a target A/F should be 13.1 before meth is introduced. I decided to revert to passing crankcase gases back into intake looking for more "air" and when I get my setup back together i'll report back.

What program is this? Doesn't look like Scan-XL Pro?

For me only map C requires Meth. I've never run map C so I'm not sure what the target WOT AFR is for that map.

I've heard that Manic tends to run the tunes on the rich side in an effort to protect the motors. When using the JB+ my AFR was in the 12.4 range.

The power feels good until the higher rpms when it does taper off. It definitely never feels boggy.

What are you logging with? My scan gauge showed 10.5 WOT but on dash command showed a solid 11.4.

Yeah MiniVinnie, that's b/c it's way too rich WOT.
Totah I have Dash Command and a wideband A/F gauge
I ran 10.9 WOT but I blocked off my vent to atmosphere CCV system and achieved 11.4 WOT. My car is so frankensteined now I cannot really gather proper data. Under heavy load but not WOT I get a nice 13.5 or so.
I just bolted up the JMTC E45R, installed meth kit and wen to stage 3+ level C defcon 4 self destruct mode. Pulls like hell but for how long? I hear about all these motors burning pistons but its not the motors fault. I have 105k and having beating it for the last 20k incl track time.

Yes; too fat equals loss of power. You feel that yourself under WOT. Not sure how you would address that issue. I tried with Nick at Manic but to no avail. I now have an over boost issue getting up to 29psi after the E45 install. I tried to adjust the wastegate arm but still over boosts.
Between the two I never get close to WOT WTF.lol
